Hotdog cops with guns. Recipe for disaster.
“I was in fear for my life”.
Works every time, if you have a badge.
Over 40 years ago when I was renting a house in Orlando, the police showed up in force (3 cars) looking for someone who had apparently rented the house before I did. It was an unpleasant experience being treated as a criminal on my own doorstep.
25 years later Lakeland, FL PD did it to me again, in a house I had owned for 20 years. Again, I was not only treated as a criminal on my doorstep, but the lead officer (woman with an attitude) was damn nasty, while I was polite and cooperative. For which I was repeatedly insulted.
There will not be a third time.
Roid Rage.
Test the gym rats now.
Why does this keep happening? It seems I just read a similar instance a few days ago here on FR.
I hope a Son of Barack shoots that officer in the throat some day soon.
If these police are so cowardly that they would shoot a dog that small, they really need to find a nice desk job answering phones in a call center. The only weapon they should be allowed to carry is a loud whistle.
Ig there was even a smidgen of justice in this country, they would be paying about half of the income from that job to that family for quite some time.
For people in nice suburban neighborhoods reading this, this is why people in “those neighborhoods” never see nothin’ and don’t cooperate with the police. Absolutely nothing good for can come for them by doing so and there might be entire worlds of trouble instead. Seriously, why should they? So they can be “good citizens” and get their property ransacked and their dogs shot?
There was an interesting article in the WaPost recently where police are getting rubber stamp warrants in DC to the point where any supposed “rights” that the residents have are a complete, bogus illusion. It takes months to years of fighting with the government to get their homes repaired after a “whoops, sorry” SWAT entry, and they never even say “whoops, sorry”. On top of that, these are not wealthy people, and sometimes their doors are broken for months, just wonderful in a bad neighborhood.
Good thing it wasn’t a police dog. You can go to the slammer and pay for the dog’s training on top of that in many areas. A family pet, OTOH...well, sucks to be you.
Has the officer been shot yet?
Flog him. He won’t do it again.
Fishy story from the family.
I am not defending the cops.
Liable for civil damages. The citizen should not have to sue to obtain them. An apology from the town is not enough.
Idiots!
I would kill them. Wait a week, plan the route and execute a trash day.
You don't have to be a psychic to guess the outcome => 'He followed all procedures and protocol.'
“Incredible Journey” of 1993 had Chance, an American Bulldog as one of the 3 animal protagonists. Also a Golden Retriever and a Siamese Cat. Stupid cop.
And these asshole cops wonder why they get shot.
