Hillary Clinton is the only Secretary of State to delete 31,830 emails, from her own private server and without government oversight. Thus, we haven't seen all her emails yet. In fact, there are over 30,000 emails that the FBI or Bryan Pagliano might have been able to access, but none of us will see these emails. So, when you read those wonderfully titled articles about what we've learned from 55,000 pages of Clinton's emails, remember that over 30,000 were deleted; without government or third-party oversight.
Thankfully, Democrats have one person named Bernie Sanders who can type, and save an email, using government networks and without an FBI investigation.
As the only Secretary of State never to use an @state.gov email address, Hillary Clinton is also the only Secretary of State to use a private server exclusively. As Yahoo states, "Clinton acknowledged in March that she exclusively used a private email account and private server from 2009 to 2013 while secretary of state, opting against a government account despite official recommendations."
Sorry Hillary supporters, nobody in State Department history has ever used a private server exclusively, or completely circumvented a State.gov email address.

Hopefully, the FBI has learned that Huma Abedin is an agent of the Muslim Brotherhood and that SHE and Hillary's insecure private server IS THE REASON BENGHAZI WAS ATTACKED. Somebody was reading Ambassador Stevens' emails to Hillary, BEGGING for security and the plot to attack Benghazi was hatched.

They ask the same question I have been asking for a year. WHY did Hillary need her own server? She certainly knew all the government rules, and risk to her reputation, but doing this - yet she did it anyway?
What was so important to her that she couldn’t have it on archived and subpoenable State Dept. servers?
I’m sure it wouldn’t have a thing to do with providing donors to the Clinton Foundation with easy access to actionable classified information, i.e., ESPIONAGE.
I predict Hillary will”Crack” from the pressure. After all she is already split in the middle.

Here’s a good article on Rense.com about what a the SAP (Special Access Program classification) on some of the emails found on her unprotected server is all about. The article is short and written by a Major who’s job is was to protect SAP emails. An SAP classification is usually put on a classified document when it concerns a double agent. Revealing this information would almost certainly put the persons life a risk. It is the highest classification available, and some admirals and generals don’t even know it exists.

She will be granted Clemency but I don’t think she can stay in the race. I have said it will be Al Gore but he makes so much selling the global warming lie that I guess it will be Biden. Trump will beat them easy— any of them.
Might make Sanders the nominee.

Thing about Sanders is he is all talk, not very deep.

Using a state.gov account for official business is not a "recommendation", IT'S THE LAW.
After reading the comments section at Huffpo, it would appear the Democrats are in turmoil and ripping into each other. Bernie’s supporters hate Hillary supporters and vice versa.

I have pondered this question also and long ago came up with the following explanation: the answer is found within the quoted above section of your question (as no doubt you intended).
Hillary needed to hide the e mails from her own State Department itself because “what was so important to her” was the content that she intended to hide - this was premeditated for the purpose of having a conduit for treasonous and unethical content that she did not want the State Department to be able to access.
She thought she could hide behind the “Private emails” well.
