But he does wear make-up. He has to, He’s an old man. Reagan did too, but as his features were stronger it didn’t show as much.

Of course another hypothesis is demon swarming. The devil doesn’t want either Trump (Christian friendly, git r done) or Cruz (nice package of conservative ideals) because both would spell trouble for him at a powers and principalities level.

Let me very ruefully confess. The devil can, so to speak, impose a funhouse lens between you and a particular person he is trying to get you to be on the outs with. How do I know? HE DID IT TO ME EARLY THIS WEEK. I effed up! I was fooled!

Quite often, if a situation looks too BAD to be true... it likely is.

That’s too bad.

I’m not so sure. Sometimes age has its own patina. Donald isn’t young... he doesn’t need to be young. Young is when he learned. Old age is supposed to bespeak wisdom.

When I get to the age of a geezer... I am going to sport the looks of geezer.

If you can get away from whatever religion you’re aligned with (and please don’t illuminate me), you’d see that ‘creepy’ just means obsequious, odd, off-putting and possibly dishonest. Don’t twist it into something difficult or religious or quasi-religious.

Sorry, if I know who the enemy is, do you expect me to just shut up?

I’m Christian and that’s really all that needs to be said here. What flavor of Christian, matters about as much as what make of tank has been sent out by the Allies to fight the Axis.

Yes, I prefer Trump over Abraham Lincoln. How did you guess?

Actually, Trump doesn’t use rouge. Probably a tanning bed as his detractors are so fond of reporting. Of course, when Obama ran, I used to tell my husband why couldn’t they get the lighting right as he consistently looked green on tv. Perhaps The Donald just needs better lighting.

But Cruz will always have that awful voice.

And contrariwise, the MSM might just be trying to get Donald to look terrible on video. They control the lighting. So we get Donald the Orange. (Orangeman?)

Sorry, not to be offensive, but you talk like no Christian I’ve ever heard. You sound very esoteric and odd. You interpret good old English words in strange ways.

Well thanks for the compliment.

Christianity is a spiritual thing. People are quite often weirded out by the spiritual side of things.

Does creepiness mean dishonest, etc.? Well where did dishonesty come from? Riiiiiiight. The devil.

Maybe Quix (R.I.P. his freeper days) might be the closest example to where I am now.

But I have tried to be mellower even though I am weird.

Or to paraphrase Patrick Henry, if this be weirdness, let us make the most of it.

Don’t be so holy. I’m Catholic and understand morality as well as anybody else here. We just don’t think every human frailty is from the devil.

And Trump will always bluster and have that steam of consciousness speaking pattern. That always bothered me about Sarah Palin. Neither can speak in paragraphs. In her case, it was a lack of formal education. I also notice it in Obama when he is speaking off the cuff. Of course, Obama has this beautiful baritone voice .Going back to Palin, I have seen clips of her speaking before 2008 and when she was speaking conversationally, which she usually did, she sounded fine. Like Hilary she tends to shriek when she raises her voice. Of all the pols I have seen in person she is/was the best stump speaker and was great in press in the flesh. She would actually talk to people long enough to make contact.

And to be sure, sometimes I do get right into the spiritual side of things without thinking to explain why. It’s because I have eyes that have been trained on that, by long and often painful circumstances.

Sometimes I forget how far I’ve gotten into that world until somebody like you reminds me. You aren’t the first one who has addressed me as “Earth to [HTRN].”

But on the other hand, when I step into eternity, I’ll probably be a lot less likely to say “How strange!” than more “ordinary” people will. I will have been dealing with the eternal, spiritual dimensions of things all my life.

Please accept my apologies for the awkwardness. It would be like discussing landscapes with someone who has a rare fourth color vision sense, or like discussing music with someone whose hearing goes up into the range of dogs. I will try to watch my presumptions in the future.

If anyone bid us not to be holy, it surely was not Jesus.

The bible itself backs up the thesis that it is the devil who tempts unto evil. We, of course, bear our own responsibility in the deal. We could have said no to the devil, but instead we said yes, and now we are in a campaign to recover.

Think well of yourself, don’t you?

I guess as a Cruz supporter, you probably can hear what the dog hears.

Also, I think if you follow the stories of the Roman Catholic saints, you’ll see accounts that make mine look, in fact, rather mild. I’ve never boasted a vision of Mary or even Jesus. Or let it be said, I see Jesus through the bible, but in a palette of colors that very few “ordinary” Christians do.

My favorite saint, if I had to have one, is probably St. Patrick, followed by St. Francis. The devotions of both figure significantly in Protestant traditions. The more things change, sometimes the more they stay the same.

I was baptized on St. Patrick’s Day, if that means anything mystical.

If I could pole vault better than 99% of comers and said so, would that be “thinking well of myself” or just thinking accurately?

And anyhow, an extra capability can be a curse. BELIEVE YOU ME, it can be a curse!

I have spent most of my life wrestling a curse into a blessing.
