I really can’t blame Keyes for that one, given the overall circumstances.

Some people have been hurt. Overall it has been a benefit to the US economy. Our exports to Mexico are up 600% since NAFTA, theirs to us only 400%.

I can, and I do. He should have stayed in Maryland.

He handed that Senate seat to Obama on a platter.

It will keep fleeing felons from finding quick and easy refuge in Mexico. But it won’t prevent any other American from leaving through established border crossings.

The Soviets/Russians built The Wall to keep their people in.

Illegal immigration is not Mexico’s fault. Mexico is a poor and impoverished country and it is only natural that many want to come here.

Mexico's poverty is a result of a caste system that pretty much prevents those of lesser wealth and "breeding" from improving their lot in life. Those who've "got theirs" are not about to give a leg up to them.

True, but Mexico’s poverty is the result of mostly poor economic policies and a corrupt political system which controls every lever of government. Mexico is blessed with an abundance of resources. The possibilities for that country could be limitless if the country would embrace free market capitalism. Ditto with this country and every other nation in the world IMHO.

"We need more than a wall along the border. We need to double the personnel on the border, we need to build a road along the border..even in the native, federal and sanctuary land...and we need turn people back at the border...send all nationalities right back to Mexico where they came from."

AND, we need to cut ALL BENEFITS TO ILLEGALS! They would probably self-deport if we did this.

Ron Paul made the same point and Trump has said he would force companies to stay in and manufacture in the US. Trump is more like Obama than not. They both believe that President = King and they have zero respect for the Constitution and Free Market Capitalism

"Illegal immigration is not Mexico's fault. Mexico is a poor and impoverished country...."

What do you mean, "Illegal immigration is not Mexico's fault."? Whose fault is it?? OF COURSE it is their fault; if they would get rid of the corrupt government (I read that only a few families keep the rest of the country down), and follow the example of the U.S., they would probably flourish also. How can a country on the border of a prosperous, flourishing country NOT follow that example. I've also read that Mexico is a country rich in resources, but only a few get those resources.

This is one of those “special rights” thing, isn’t it.

Mexicans will have the same rights as anyone in the world. Follow the immigration laws and there is no problem.

They’re open to the Atlantic and pacific oceans, the Gulf of Mexico. They have boats, trains, airplanes. A prison has walls on all four sides.

Where’s the prison? Tell us all how a wall on a coutry’s border, constitutes a prison.

That premise is based on special stupidity.

“Mr. Trump says the wall will be used to keep illegals out. But a wall once divided Berlin, Germany.”

I have to agree with Dr. Keyes here. If an American wants to DEFECT TO MEXICO he will find it MUCH HARDER to sneak in to that country. After all, walls have two sides.

Of course, that same American ALWAYS has the option of simply walking or driving in to Mexico, as the Mexican government has NO OBJECTION to that (and I have done that many, many, times - and never with any hassle from Mexican authorities).
