He;s actually a crony-socialist. He pays off local socialist leaders so that he can launch the sort of businesses that less connected people would find regulated out of business.
It’s all about defining terms. People think Conservative means anti-abortion, lower taxes, smaller state sector, less regulatory intrusion, traditional moral choices like: marriage, taking care of children, thrift, charity, religious participation, hard work.
But it doesn’t HAVE to mean any of those things. If we just say Conservatism is borrowing tons of money, declaring bankruptcy frequently, ditching wives and cheating on them all the time anyway, running a gambling empire, and being verbally abusive to your peers, then
Trump is THE LEADING CONSERVATIVE in AMERICA.
1. he’s rich.
2. he’s white.
3. he’s got a hot wife.
4. he’s got a hot daughter.
5. he’s not a loser.
6. he’s got better hair than bernie.
7. he’s got better legs than hillary.
8. he’s rich.
9. he’s got a hot ex-wife.
10. he’s not a democrat, right now.
Unlike Cruz or Rubio, Trump has never been a lifetime govt employee.
Loves the USA. That is a Conservative Value. The Left is the oneswho loath the USA and think everything in the USA needs to be changed to make it “Fair”.
Taxes, trade, immigration, Govt Spending, National Defense, Vets issues are issues where Trump stands on solidly Conservative grounds.
But why bother? The people screaming “Conservative Conservative” are special little children who have no idea what the word means. It just become a slogan for them to use. They have no clue what it actually means.
If Trump gets elected and secures the border/deports illegals it will be the most conservative thing done in Washington, DC since the time of Reagan.
I laugh every time someone tries to to come up with reasons why Trump is no Conservative enough to be a candidate.
His whole platform is pretty much the MOST conservative of all the candidates ..
1. WALL/Immigration
2. IRS/Tax Plan
3. GOD/Merry Christmas again/Not being politically correct
4. GUNS/2nd Amendment
5. JOBS/Economy rebuilding
I hardly hear any other candidate TRUMPET these talking points unless Trump brings them up.
He is not the same man he was many many years ago. Yet, I see Youtube videos of him talking 30 years ago with nothing but Conservative talking points when he was supposedly a Liberal.
Thoust quiver would be empty Sir Baseless
i think trump is a pretty cool guy. eh kills rinos and doesn’t afraid of anything
“Want to talk about cutting taxes, cutting spending, cutting regulations, cutting government, cutting cronyism, cutting corruption, growing the economy, putting our people back to work, making America great again?”
I have seen Trump talk the talk. When will we see him walk the talk?
Read his book Crippled America. You’ll have everything you need. Don’t listen to the Cruz supporters on here saying Trump is not conservative. Cruz will be finished on about 10 days and then they’ll have to find something else to whine about.
It's all about Winning !!!!
To borrow a quote from the former owner of the NFL's Oakland Raiders, Al Davis;
"Just Win Baby"
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
It's not a bad idea to have a list, not so much for his supporters.
A list is needed for his detractors, who ankle-bite at secondary issues, and can't see the forest for the trees. Or see that the forest is on fire, and Trump is realistically the only one that can put it out.
Here’s a few:
1.He thinks affirmative action is okay.
2.He would fund Planned Parenthood except for abortion. (This is current federal policy)
3.He supports a progressive income tax. He does not favor a flat tax.
4.He doesnât want to cut Social Security or Medicare.
5.Heâs in favor of a ban on assault weapons.
6.He invited Bill and Hillary Clinton to his wedding.
7.He doesnât âfullyâ believe in supply-side economics.
8.He wants to âlead from behindâ on Ukraine. Trump believes that Germany should take the lead on Ukraine.
9.He hates the Iran deal, but he wouldnât abrogate it after taking office.
10. A short 5 years ago he termed the Republican approach to immigration enforcement âmean spirited1
11.He has supported/supports such liberal sacred cows such as ethanol subsidies, Kelo and govt. bailouts.
BTW what good is a wall when you have “touchback amnesty.
Reagan has some words for the Conservative Pharisees.
Real politics is a whole lot different then just “making- sure-you-worship-the-canidate-screeching-to-the-choir- daily-about-his-dogmatic-purity” you children seem to think it is.
By Ronald Reagan in his autobiography An American Life
âWhen I began entering into the give and take of legislative bargaining in Sacramento, a lot of the most radical conservatives who had supported me during the election didnât like it. âCompromiseâ was a dirty word to them and they wouldnât face the fact that we couldnât get all of what we wanted today. They wanted all or nothing and they wanted it all at once. If you donât get it all, some said, donât take anything. Iâd learned while negotiating union contracts that you seldom got everything you asked for. And I agreed with FDR, who said in 1933: âI have no expectations of making a hit every time I come to bat. What I seek is the highest possible batting average.â If you got seventy-five or eighty percent of what you were asking for, I say, you take it and fight for the rest later, and thatâs what I told these radical conservatives who never got used to it
Trump is not an ideological conservative. He is a pragmatic populist-nationalist with many asserted goals that coincide with traditional American Conservative political thought... and some that don’t.
If Trump is you guy, you need to accept that, because Trump is not going to conform to any Conservative model that you invent for him. Abortion will be a non-issue, as will the size and authority of the Federal government.
Take what you can get from Trump and forget about trying to make him the model Conservative.

Is this a thread about Charlie Sheen or Donald Trump?
As if the establishment's career politician candidates have been a "conservatives" for the past 35+ years. No one capable of critical thought buys that.
Nothing like throwing in a red herring to divert from the truth. Just to entertain with diversion, is the Pope a Catholic?
