If Cruz gets the nomination, then just know the DNC, along with GOPe, will shop a federal judge to disqualify Cruz. Then at the Republican convention the delegates will nominate Mr. Gang of 8 Rubio.
I’ll check this thread again in an hour to read the arguing :)
Get over it. This BS is going Nowhere.
Blah blah blah
I agree with you entirely, except for one thing. They will not strip Cruz of his delegates and annoint Rubio, they will strip both Cruz and Rubio, and annoit Jeb. He says he is going to be the nominee, and he is the ultimate insider, and a member of the controlling family whose turn it is to be president. Please, do not waste your vote on Rubio or Cruz. If you do not like Trump, then vote for another candidate who is at no risk of losing his delegates.
As the child of an American citizen who had lived in the United States for some period of 10 years, at lest 5 of them over the age of 14, he is a citizen at birth — i.e., natural born — no matter where he was born.
This is a fraud perpetrated by The Don and his little bots, who know better. This is typical of The Don. Yet another reason why he’s unsuited to the presidency.
Now, let’s talk about real issues and policies, and stop wasting time on this garbage.
If I read the post correctly:
Any one born outside the United States, if one parent is an alien and as long as the other parent is a citizen of the U.S. who lived in the U.S. for at least five years (with military and diplomatic service included in this time).
this is the category Cruz falls into and therefore is legal.
Argument concluded.
However, if the GOPe and DNC raise a court stink, all conservatives should scream loud and proud about the “damage” being done to the 14th Amendment.
oh look its a screaming mimi!
(Thought they were extinct...wish they’d stayed that way.)
Trump is intellectually and emotionally unstable.
Cruz in the very worst case complies with two of those definitions. Your post is the opposite of true.
So why is your title precisely opposite to the conclusion in the body of your post?
Meanwhile lawyers and public officials in both Illinois and New Hampshire say otherwise..
This is a dirty campaign trick.
Trump should apologize, fire someone, and give Cruz some of his delegates.
Just saying.
Enough already, Yeb.
Sounds like a plan. Not one I'm happy with, either.
How does the following not apply:
“Any one born outside the United States, if one parent is an alien and as long as the other parent is a citizen of the U.S. who lived in the U.S. for at least five years (with military and diplomatic service included in this time)”
I think you meant to say he’s not eligible.
But’s he not qualified either. Never had a real job. Never employed people. Never balanced a budget. Never had to work with others to solve problems.
Thus Ted Cruz is a natural born citizen. Thanks for proving it. Case closed.
“â¢Any one born outside the United States, if one parent is an alien and as long as the other parent is a citizen of the U.S. who lived in the U.S. for at least five years (with military and diplomatic service included in this time)”
Can you not read and comprehend?
My wife is from Bogota, Colombia and she went through the naturalization process and had to swear an oath to the US Constitution.
My understanding is that Ted Cruz by virtue of his mother didn’t need to go through a naturalization process.
If Cruz didn’t need to go through the naturalization process to become a citizen .....
......that is because he was a citizen at birth! ....or a naturally born American!
the "subject to the jurisdiction" goes BOTH WAYS. Cruz's mother is an American citizen and is subject to it's jurisdiction thus making Ted a natural born citizen. Same for McCain, George Romney, Barry Goldwater, etc.
