Surely there’s a way to fix these unusual characters in these posts.

I found that, to delete the strange characters, you have to go through and replace all the apostrophe marks with apostrophe marks. Seriously.

See your post as I copied it above?

Now look at it:

It’s hard to choose, but mine is “...Lt. Herwitz...severe shell shock.... He thinks he’s Ethel Merman.” That, the fighting Girl Scouts, the nun reading “Boy’s Life,” etc. etc. etc.

Or you can just use a simple website to clean-up the entire article in just a couple of clicks, no individual edits.

It's a difficult thing to fix, altogether.

All (in unison): "IT'S A DIFFICULT THING TO FIX"

Still one of my all-time favorite films.

Frankly, you have to have one wierd sense of humor or none at all not to like the movie.

It,s a remake of Zero Hour, very, very closely - lines and scenes.

And Police Squad! was closely based on M-Squad. I think hewing so closely to serious films and shows made their spoofs even funnier.

The passengers lining up to beat the hysterical woman is hysterical.

Only 2 kinds of people in the world. Those who like “Airplane” and those who don’t.

Similar might be said of "Blazing Saddles".

“We have to get this man to a hospital!”

“What is it?”

“It’s a large building filled with doctors and nurses. But that’s not important now”

Did you know Airplane is almost a word for word rip off of an old movie called ‘Zero Hour’ starring Dana Andrews? Right down to the poison fish.

I didn’t and started watching it one day and was floored. Zero Hour wasn’t a comedy. Zero Hour now seems pretty funny too.

Not the same person.

Veruca Salt == Julie Dawn Cole

Young Girl with Coffee == Michelle Stacy

info from IMDB

Well we know that’s one scene that will never make it to the remake.

Also the scene with the Africans playing basketball and trying to figure out “Supperware”.

$line =~ s/\&\acirc\;\&\#128\;\&\#153\;/\&\#8217\;/;

[remove the ‘\’ before acirc, I had to add it so the cut and paste wouldn’t mess up the code]
