It’s a remake of Zero Hour, very, very closely - lines and scenes.

Only 2 kinds of people in the world. Those who like “Airplane” and those who don’t.

Surely there’s a way to fix these unusual characters in these posts.

It's a difficult thing to fix, altogether.

35 years later, it is still probably one of the most quip quoted comedy movies of all time.

My favorite movie of all time.

"This man must be gotten to a hospital."
"A hospital? What is it?"
"It's a big building with patients, but that's not important right now."

The guy pulling the plug on runway lights is still one of the funniest things I have ever seen in a movie.

I remember seeing Airplane! in the theater when it was first released. It was very odd, because it seemed VERY familiar - especially when Robert Stack would talk on the radio to Ted Stryker. Why did that scene make me think I’d seen it somewhere before?

Turns out, I’d seen Zero Hour sometime on TV - probably in the mid-60s. Geez, no wonder!

I’ve since obtained a copy of Zero Hour on DVD and watched it with great delight...

They were also responsible for Kentucky Fried Movie, a midnight movie staple back in the day. The Bruce Lee movie parody required “Total Concen-tway-tion”. Rex Kramer Daredevil and Cleopatra Schwartz are also great.

Also one of the most underrated comedies of all-time “Top Secret!”

Thanks for the nice little diversion..

The absolute best line in the movie is when Elaine is reminiscing with Striker, and she says this:

Mostly I remember...the nights when we were together. I remember how you used to hold me...and how I used to sit on your face and wriggle...and then afterwards how we'd watch until the sun came up. When it did, it was almost like...like each new day was created...only for us.

I still can't believe they got away with that one...

One of the funniest parts of that movie. A mans voice announces their is no parking in the white zone. Then a female voice saying no parking in loading zone. Then you can hear them arguing with each other after a bit.

haven’t seen it in years.
