BURNS-Leaders of the armed protestors holding the national bird sanctuary on Tuesday plan to push their anti-government agenda in Grant County, whose sheriff recommends the government give in to two of their key demands.
Sheriff Glenn Palmer said in a statement to the The Oregonian/OregonLive that "the government is going to have to concede something" to end the occupation of the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge.
He said freeing a father-son ranching team from prison would be a start. Sending the FBI home would be start." He referred to the FBI's lead role in ending the refuge occupation.
"I just pray to God that cooler heads prevail and that no one gets killed," Palmer said.......

There is an activity planned Tuesday in neighboring Grant County, whose sheriff is more agreeable to their concerns about the federal government's domination of the land and the jailing of the Hammonds for a second time on the same charge, though not their tactics per se.
One thing Sheriff Palmer is outspoken on is the need for the FBI to pull back. He fears someone may get killed.
A ceremony was held Saturday the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge where ranchers signed a document renouncing payment of federal grazing fees.
At first I thought that the Haney County Sheriff finally woke up.
The FBI needs to concentrate on Evil Doers, like H->!.

I will say this, the Bundy’s and the other folks at the refuge have not acted like ‘militants’ as some media reports have described them, essentially and in some cases with leftist websites equating the Citizens for Constitutional Freedom group with Islamic State.
Ammon Bundy, Ryan Payne etc. etc. are not going through the streets of Burns, Oregon or towns of Harney County crying “God is great” and gunning people down.
They aren’t blowing themselves up in public places, whipping out knives and killing people.
And yeah, they aren’t groping women and worse at public events.....
The FBI has bigger fish to fry than this situation.

The good sheriff is the CHIEF LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER of his county. He should not REQUEST that the FBI leave, he should DEMAND that they leave.
Grant County is not the location of the occupation, the county next door is (Harney County).
Sheriff Palmer has power in his county, not the one where the Citizens for Constitutional Freedom are conducting their occupation.
Palmer has PO’ed a lot of other sheriffs because he called for the FBI to pull back in the neighboring county. The other sheriff’s believe in subservience to the federal government.

My point is that the sheriff of rhe county where the occupation is ongoing needs to demand that the FBI leave his county immediately! Prehaps I am confused, but from what I have observed, the Harney County Sheriff has feet of clay. Do I have that part right?

You need to do a little more homework.
Palmer is the Sheriff in a neighboring county, Grant County.
The FBI is in Haney County where Burns is and where the buildings for the refuge are located.
That Sheriff is demanding that Bundy and the protesters leave and is working with the FBI.
If this were happening in Grant County where Palmer is the Sheriff, I am sure he would have already demanded they leave.
But he cannot make that demand on an adjoining county where he is not Sheriff..
Amen. But I bet you Palmer is re-elected by a large majority.
The Sheriff in Harney County is going to ave a fight on his hands after this when it comes to re-election.
The Sheriff there is not a bad man...he has however been indoctrinated in, and accepts the Federal Government as being a higher authority.
When in reality, in his County, he is the higher authority and an tell them to leave whenever he wishes if he does not want them there.
