You need to do a little more homework.
Palmer is the Sheriff in a neighboring county, Grant County.
The FBI is in Haney County where Burns is and where the buildings for the refuge are located.
That Sheriff is demanding that Bundy and the protesters leave and is working with the FBI.
If this were happening in Grant County where Palmer is the Sheriff, I am sure he would have already demanded they leave.
But he cannot make that demand on an adjoining county where he is not Sheriff..

I understand that he’s up for re-election! Anyone know what his chances are. When you hear him talk, you get the impression that he has the mental accuity that would tax him working at Mickey D’s.
