What a crock of stereotypical elitist crap that wants to put anything southern into a class of peoples too ignorant and buffoonish to be alive in their opinion.
Had they even checked they would see the population of Atlanta is very largely represented by people not from Georgia originally. And we always hear from these Ohio, New York, New Jersey and Connecticut transplants how great they are at snow and ice - while they’re sitting the snow born interstates they can’t seem to navigate. They never once seem to understand the logistics of it all.
As a Georgian born here from multiple generations, this shit is offensive and indicative of the kind of crap that SNL and the Comedy Channel is so prone to exhibit for their target audience. Thumbs down.

I’m Georgia born and raised, but since then, I’ve lived in Chicago, DC and Rhode Island and traveled between the three during snowstorms. For one thing, the north usually gets snow, whereas the South gets ice then snow then ice. Try YouTube for some interesting video clips of Yankees driving on a bit of ice.
Now put those ‘magnificent winter drivers’ in vehicles without snow tires, chains or studs... in a area with insufficient salt/plow trucks.
Finally, throw in the ‘cowboys’ in their “I got 4WD, I can go ANYWHERE!” trucks. They haven’t yet learned that 4 wheel GO does not necessarily include 4 Wheel TURN and 4 Wheel STOP.
Put the ‘magnificent winter drivers’ on a back county Georgia Red Mud road after a few days of rain.
Driving on slick roads is an acquired skill and requires routine practice.
South AND North both have folks who put their cars in the ditch due to Snow/Ice/Hydroplane/Mud.
My Montana born and raised cousin came to live in Houston. He had driven his whole life on snow but when he was faced with rain slick streets in Houston he ended up crashing into someone’s front porch.
He sheepishly admitted that he never dreamed that a wet asphalt road with a little grease and mud on it could be slicker than snow.
You’re more tolerant than I am then. I found nothing about that uniformed crap to be funny.
It is so over the top that it made me laugh but then I have watched SNL since it started.
It’s not funny. It’s stupid.
