How much should the government redistribute?
A specter is haunting the Democratic Party-the specter of socialism. A question is being asked, mostly by Republicans, but also by MSNBC's Chris Matthews: What is the difference between a Democrat and a Socialist? Debbie Wasserman Schultz got it last July and, ever the robotic partisan, answered by saying the more important difference was between Democrats and Republicans. Senator Chuck Schumer said it depended on how you define the two, and then refused to define the two. And, most significantly, Hillary Clinton said, "Well, I can tell you what I am ⦠Iâm a progressive Democrat."
Now this is not a difficult question to answer. Webster's says socialism is "a social system or theory in which the government owns and controls the means of production."

And global warming is the socialist excuse to control energy use (the means of production).
Here’s a better question:
What is it about communism that you DON’T like?
The fedgov dilemna:
Do we go with democratic socialism? Or republican fascism?
Both methods will enrich the chosen few, but which will enslave the masses without too much bloodshed?
Most likely the powers that be will go with the hybrid chinese model. It’s been working pretty well so far here in the US.
We know Hillary. We know.
“republican fascism”?
Really?
I just learned a new word.
The only difference between the dems/pubs is what they plan to do with the serfs once they finish looting the US economy.
I call them Statists.
Both the Democrat Party and the “establishment” Republicans are statists. Together they operate as the “Uniparty”
Either deliberately or by allowing destructive forces to do their dirty work, liberals are a cancer on civilization (paraphrasing Susan Sontag).
Statist and uniparty will work too. I can agree with that.
