An ice cream truck operator was carjacked in Encanto early Tuesday, San Diego Police said.
The truck was flagged down on Akins Avenue at 4:30 a.m. by two men posing as customers, officers said.
Both men had knives, jumped in the truck and ordered the driver out, police said.
They drove off heading west on Akins.
The van was later recovered on Webster Avenue. No arrests have been made.
What a rocky road.
Sure, explain how you and your big bad self stole an ice cream truck to the inmates in the rec room.
Ice Cream truck at 4:30 a.m. ? Ice Cream truck tunes must have got him hi-jacked.
Ya I wonder about that at 4:30 am.
Encanto is a bad neighborhood of San Diego. The combination of a bad area and 4:30 am had bad results.

...the Track!
Many years ago I drove an ice cream truck in South Austin. I quit after a week. The woman who took over the route was pulled from the truck, and gang raped by 17 Hispanic guys.
She said that after the first five, she couldn’t identify the attackers. Horrible.
Who sell ice cream at 4:30 a.m.? Maybe the truck sold something else also like hot chocolate.
Yeah, hot chocolate, that’s the ticket.
What ever happened to the Good Humor man, and Mr. Softee??
The ice cream trucks and vans today are banged up old vehicles badly in need of paint jobs and body work. And the ice cream salesmen look so seedy........just an observation......
Good container for stuffing fertiziler and diesel oil.
Is that how you spell “fertilizer?”
A truck driver was car-jacked? How about truck-jacked?
The charges won’t stick. They will fudge the evidence. No one will be in good humor.
Usually he's passin' by just about eleven o'clock.
No way. Someone’s going to the cooler for this. Maybe as soon as Sundae.
Bet they had guns too.
