Ted Cruz is exactly right here..if Hillary Clinton is elected, you will lose your guns. I have no doubt about it. We are one Supreme Court justice away from an ultra-left majority that will gleefully reinterpret the Constitution and take away our right to bear arms. They will also ensure that religious symbols are taken down in courts and across the land. Shariah law will gain a very strong foothold as well. Free speech will be censored and freedom of religion will be destroyed utterly. You won't be allowed to protect yourself or your family and if you get caught doing so, it will be a felony and you will go to prison. This is the Marxist utopia that awaits us if the Hildabeast ascends to the presidency. Just emphatically say no.

WINTERSET, Iowa - Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz on Monday warned voters that their Second Amendment rights are in jeopardy if they elect Democratic frontrunner Hillary Clinton this November.
"If Hillary Clinton is elected president, the Supreme Court will rule that no individual American has any individual right to keep and bear arms whatsoever," the Texas senator said. "And the government can make it a felony for you to own a firearm and protect your family."
The GOP candidate and Iowa frontrunner backed up his claim by arguing that the next president will likely be responsible for naming anywhere from one to four Supreme Court justices during his or her tenure.
"We are one justice away from a five-justice, ultra-left wing majority that will tear down our constitutional liberties fundamentally," Cruz said.
That same liberal-run court will also move to take down religious symbols on public property, he added.
After Cruz warned everyone that the government might make it a felony to own a gun, an audience member at the packed event at the Winterset Stage called out: "Come and take it!" The crowd cheered and murmured agreement. You betcha! And we'll fight in the shade if we have to for our rights and our freedom. "I think Iowa and Texas have some things in common," Cruz said to the delight of the audience. Ted Cruz is my guy in this race. I believe he will make a fantastic president and adhere to the Constitution and our founding beliefs. Trump may be the one as well. Whoever gets the nomination must stop Hillary Clinton. Our Republic's survival depends on it.

He’s talking about the balance of the Supreme Court and how critical it is to our fundamental rights. He won a landmark decision there protecting our 2nd Amendment rights and the decision was 5/4. If we get the wrong justices, we are in danger of losing our liberty. I want Cruz picking those justices.
Well he has been standing up yelling and screaming but is not effective in getting his priorities passed in a Republican Congress. Lord. I just don’t know what he will do as President besides yell and scream. His bills will probably be 3-97 at most support in the Senate. Well he won’t be as bad as Obama at least.

Don’t forget Trump trashed Scalia and called for maintenance of affirmative action. Or that his first response was what a good SCOTUS his sister would be. Or his ease with supporting anyone because he is in business - can he break that habit?
Cruz is a really principled man with true core values. He has spent his live living these principles. So you may have wild dreams of his being VP but that is not how he lives his life. He would never sacrifice who he is to be a VP for Trump.

This is so over the top stupid. Ted clearly doesnt understand how govt works nor anything about ‘fly over’ America. He seems completely out of touch with the people who might vote for him.
First, the BOR isnt about allowing us anything. Its a statement about our inalienable rights regardless of govt decree or laws. Its not something that can be taken unless we willing give it.
Second, our govt is by consent. We the People can withdraw that at any time. This doesnt require govt consent.
Hillary has no power except what we give her.

As someone who won a landmark decision protecting our 2nd Amendment rights before the Supreme Court in a decision that was 5/4, I’ll take Ted Cruz’s assessment of the situation over yours.
We have seen a constant chipping away of our gun rights and it continues with a fresh assault today. The first thing a totalitarian movement does is disarm the citizens.
