In 2013, Stanford went to the Rose Bowl, and their band made people upset. In 2014, Stanford went to the Rose Bowl, and their band made people upset. In 2016, Stanford went to the Rose Bowl, and guess what happened! They played sinks and skateboards:

PS: Has this been the worst major bowl season evah? Hope the Championship game will be good.
I started laughing at the drum major in his avocado suite and the costume of fruits and nuts. At least that is all I could figure out what it was supposed to be.
Lighten up, dude. I thought it was pretty funny. They looked like they were having fun, not plotting the overthrow of Western Civilization. That work has already been done by Owebowmao.
Personally, I find them a bit funny and a bit silly. Then again they are students so some of their humor is bound to be sophomoric.
The high point in the history of the Stanford band is their starring role in the “Big Game” between Stanford and Cal in 1982.
Roll Tide !
OU band is pretty bad though.
They do seem pretty annoying until you realize they’re just kids - band nerds enjoying a little celebrity for the first time in their lives.
Funny how so many find so much to be offended about - all the while mocking the folks that make being offended their lifestyle...
Much more important issues at hand to concern ourselves over...
Now for a short public service announcement to all on FR:
We need to ensure we don't get another Obama-like America Hater as the next President.
The best way to ensure that is to actively support a candidate as the next President.
I prefer Cruz and my money goes to his campaign, hence the Cruz link. If you like someone else, donate to him/her (find your own link to do it) and if you use FR and don't donate, then please don't complain about the welfare leeches or those who have Obama Phones because, functionally, you are no different than any other who enjoys the fruits of others' work for your own benefit.
PS - If you are one of those who cannot afford even a small donation to FR or a candidate, God Bless and happy FReeping!.....
GO CRUZ!! Keep it up Trump!!
To qualify for the Stanford Band you must:
1) Have a hat
2) Must have an instrument
-2a) The band will be comprised of at least 50% traditional musical instruments.
I love the Stanford band - they have been doing this for DECADES!
The bowl results were odd. In many of them, the winners blew out the losers by large score differentials. That causes one to wonder whether the bowls really mean anything.
Of course, with some 42 different bowls, the bowl season has lost a lot of luster. Bowl games are like participation trophies.
Frequently, we see similar in NFL Superbowls — one team dominates another.
The Stanford band is an embarrassment to the Pac. What a bunch of rich spoiled brats.
Pray America wakes
Wife is a big time Tide fan. Arizona State for me but as they keep tripping over themselves, I am in the Tide camp.
A young couple moved into the house next door a few years ago and we find out that he is Arizona and she is Auburn! Great times on rivalry weekend.
College kids having fun at making marching band music is a good thing. Kudos to the band director for finding a way to funnel their energies (and weirdness) into making music.
At halftime during the 1984 USC-Stanford game, the Trojan Marching Band re-enacted The Play, with band members dressed in Cal and Stanford uniforms as well as Stanford bandsmen. Boos began erupting from the Stanford fans, and the real Stanford band was furious and they ran onto the field. I thought at first that they would try to disrupt the halftime show, but they kept their distance.
USC went on to win that game.
Agree, actually quite charming!
They’re not acting.
Gosh, I wish that had happened in the You Tube era.
Sounded like mooing to me.
