Thanks SA. I know I've asked before but how do you post the < s > with the tags inside without forcing the command? How would I post means strike without it actually striking the text?

Oh, did I just figure that out? There's a space between the < and the first letter? Sheesh!

I’ve been asking for years but my big problem is being unable to freep while on my iPhone. I’ve tried just about every browser I can.

I need:

- To have FR in a font large enough to read (eyes not great, even with glasses)

- To be able to read the entire row at once, not scroll to right and left as well as down

- To be able to see what I am writing in the text box when I am writing a post.

I can’t find any browser thst allows all three.

please help!

And here is the problem. Large fonts take up screen space. iPhones do not have that amount of screen space.

Hi Fiddlstix, Happy New Year!

Say, among all your helpful links and lists and whatnot, I don't see a List of Ping Lists. Seems like forever since one was published or updated, and the most recent ones I can find are from 2007 and 2009 which is essentially useless after so much time has passed.

Numerous times I've been inspired to start a major update/revision based on the old lists, but too soon, the inspiration wilts in the face of the awesome undertaking.

Any words of wisdom?

LOL! I fear I have no words of wisdom for you......
Or anybody else for that matter......

I began my list of help threads on my profile page way, way back just a few months after I joined FR. There were several HTML threads and I just wanted to make an accessible list of threads in a centralized location.

Bear in mind I have never published a help thread. I only made a list of the available threads.

As far as a list of "ping lists" goes, well...ping lists are always in a state of flux. I mean...consider that we now have ping lists that didn't exist just a few months ago and will probably cease to exist weeks or months from now. It's very difficult to keep up with it all.

As far as me making a list....well...ain't gonna happen. Yes, I'm an old geezer...in my late 70's BUT..I'm still in business. I'll never quit or retire. So I manage to keep busy and doing things I love to do. That'll keep a guy young, ya know...

In the To: box, separate names using semi-colons

You can—I keep a text file of my ping list names on my computer, and copy/paste the contents into the To: box.

Oh, did I just figure that out? There's a space between the < and the first letter? Sheesh!

Let me offer some help if I may

As an example let me use this from your previous post:

....generated by the command [img src="https://photos.travelblog.org/Photos/63337/546760/f/5655981-Sandy_butts-0.jpg" width=500]

What you need to do is use the html tags. Here's how:

This way you don't need the spaces like the < s >

Okay, how did I do that? It's simple. It's done like this:

<img src="https://photos.travelblog.org/Photos/63337/546760/f/5655981-Sandy_butts-0.jpg" width=500>

The < gives you this: <

The > gives you this: >

So......
IF you copy this:

And Paste it.....
You'll see this:

It also works for posting the complete </sarcasm> tag

</sarcasm>

No need to use those spaces anymore
Hope this is of some help

Thank you for this handy info. I have a question. I quote scripture and a lot of times when God speaks it is in poetry format (actually lyrics-He sings a lot. come to think of it, I’m going to have to check and see if He does that when He is angry. :) )

Anyway, I would like to keep that formatting but use HTML for bold or italics. What is the code for the keyboard shortcut “shift+tab” to make a line break without space?

Use
to create a line break without an intervening empty line.
Like this.

As opposed to this paragraph break.

Ahh!!!! THANK YOU! I was putting in after the paragraph code. It’s been about 10 years since I actually wrote code for a web page. Loved it but got into graphic design. :) Have a blessed day!
