Diane Derzis is the owner of the last remaining abortion clinic in Mississippi and she is no stranger to some strange quotes.
Through botched abortions, dozens of pro-life laws providing women the protection for their medical health her facility ignores, and lawsuits stopping the state from having her abortion practitioners get admitting privileges at local hospitals, Derzis has kept the Jackson Womenâs Health Organization going.
Derzis started working as an abortion clinic counselor shortly after the first clinic opened in Alabama in the 1970s. And she talks openly about the abortion she had when she was 20, newly married and in college. She said didnât want children, and knew immediately she wanted to have an abortion of her 12-week-old unborn baby. Derzis said her mother told her sheâd regret it, but she hasnât.
âI thank God every day I had that abortion,â said Derzis, who later divorced and doesnât have children. âIt was not a great experience, but you know what? I had a safe abortion. And thatâs what counts.â
Although the abortion industry claims abortion practitioners care about women and abortion should be between a woman and her [abrotion] doctor (whom sheâs never met before the abortion), Derzis says the abortionist was âgruff and disrespectful.â
Previously, Derzis said God told her to keep killing babies in abortion.
âIf they think theyâre going to make me feel badly about what I do ⦠not gonna happen,â said Derzis, a 59-year-old Virginia native who has lived in Alabama for decades.
Earlier this month, outside Derzisâ clinic in Mississippiâs capital city, police officers tried to keep a couple dozen protesters and clinic supporters apart. Derzis stood on the sidewalk as the Rev. Philip âFlipâ Benham, one of her most vocal critics, asked her if sheâd repent and said he would pray for her.
âI just love prayers. Iâm the glad recipient of prayers,â Derzis said, looking past Benham.
Just as protesters say they are following Godâs will by praying outside clinics and trying to talk women out of abortions, Derzis says she, too, is led by divine guidance to provide women a safe place to terminate pregnancies.
âI feel like God wants me to do this job,â said Derzis, who has a raspy smokerâs voice and a penchant for brightly painted fingernails and chunky jewelry.
Though she may say strange things, more importantly she operates poorly-run abrogation clinics that put the lives of both women and unborn children at risk.
In 2012, Derzis ordered to shut down her New Woman All Women abortion clinic in Birmingham, Alabama, after inspectors found 76 pages of violations following the hospitalization of three patients in one day for abortion complications.
Article left out a word...
Previously, Derzis said God told her to keep killing black babies in abortion.
Yeah, she thought it was God...
Originally yes, it’s to kill all black babies. However more and more I wonder if they get nervous if they are not killing any babies.
If something happened to her or her “clinic” I couldn’t serve on the jury and be expected to be “impartial”.
If no targets are available you still have to keep up your skills. So in a pinch, other races will do.
Yes. I have seen stats that show that 78% of abortions in Mississippi are performed on black women.
This is one article that deserves all the *@#% junk
printed in it. It’s a pile of poppycock. This
excuse for a woman is a pile of po*@#%ppycock!!
Diane should thank God that her mother didnt abort her.
Who said it?...."I'm proud of all the children I've butchered during my stellar career"
A Mississippi abortionist or Dr Mengele?
If only her mother had!
It’s worse than that. They are like serial killers and have developed a thirst for killing. Not a matter of skill, even the “best” abortionist is a poor rate doctor. These people just want to kill plain and simple.
How is there such a thing as a “safe” abortion ? The unborn baby is dead. This female is a deeply disturbed soul.
Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap. Galatians 6:7
Abortion is sin but it’s usually near the end of a chain of sins. That’s why women typically want to murder their unborn. They’re doing something they shouldn’t do, and rather than repenting of those mistakes (sins) and accepting responsibility, they attempt to “clean the slate” with infanticide. However, a woman can’t hide her sins by adding more sin.
There is a way to be forgiven and literally clean the slate—even abortion. Repent and turn to Christ! The worst sins imaginable will be wiped clean. A sinner may still end up paying a price in this life for their mistakes, but they won’t be held accountable when they stand before God. Isn’t that wonderful?
The alternative, of course, is to refuse to repent. The lady in this article literally parades her sins with pride. I hope and pray she wakes up before it’s too late!
As of now, We, as a Nation, are still sowing. However, reaping time is growing nearer and the harvest will be both bonitful and bitter.
Oh Derzis, “It’s all about you”... Yet, at age 59, it’s still - and has ALWAYS been - all about you; pathetic, alone, vile, and unsung. Congratulations! You’re one of the biggest losers that I know of, truly.
I have observed that many of those who fervently push abortion have had abortions. I think that they believe that, somehow, they can erase the guilt they feel over the crime they committed by urging others to commit the same crime. It’s like “Oh, I did a horrible thing. But see how many others did the same thing—it can’t be that bad, can it?” The problem is, the intrinsic horror of their act does not disappear no matter how many others commit the same act, and they only succeed in compounding their crimes.
Also, it is good that she has not had any more children. People like her, who have weak maternal instincts and lack empathy, are selecting their particular genetics right out of the gene pool.
OH! ...and THAT'S the rub, isn't it? You see, I don't care if certain people do NOT "successfully" reproduce. Yet, I wish no harm on B-HO's kids - and I know for a fact that the talentless wonder loves his kids (and I'll dare say, I believe, likely more than himself.... BUT THAT'S IT). So, do you wish Mama B-HO should have aborted, knowing what you know? (... Don't get me wrong, I'm with you more than you might think - but your decision can be very confrontational to you if you're pro-life versus your particular faith.)
... Or ideology.
