HARTFORD — New Britain-based Stag Firearms LLC pleaded guilty Tuesday to violating federal firearms laws and as part of a plea agreement company president and owner Mark Malkowski agreed to sell the company and have no further ownership or management role in a gun manufacturer.

The company, with Malkowski serving as its representative, pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court in Hartford to a single felony count of possession of a machine gun not registered to the company.

What a shame. This company makes great firearms, and will now be used by the left as a boogeyman that made and sold machine guns.

I have a Stag model 8. It’s a great little rifle. I was hoping to get a .300 blackout upper to go with it.

Stu[id move on the owner’s part. A firearms manufacturer can have all the machine guns they want as long as they obey the laws regarding records keeping and registration.

This company did not just manufacture small firearms. They manufactured semi-automatic weapon, machine guns, assault weapons,” Daly said. “This is not an industry where sloppiness will be tolerated.”

Yes, only the DOJ can do that legally.

So a company that probably has thousands of “machine guns” was punished because they screwed up on the records of one. Despite the fact our federal govt loses weapons all the time and nothing is ever done.

FAUUUGGHHHHHH I hate this administration.

I’m in for $100,000. Maybe more.

What will it take?

What complete garbage. The National Firearms Act, the Gun Control Act, and the Hughes Amendment must all be repealed. They are completely incompatible with a free Republic under Constitutional government.

No, not really. Just another example of unconstitutional laws applied as the govt likes to villify and make examples so others dont dare act like free men. Gun law in this country is crafted purposely to entrap. None of it has any relationship to reality.

The REAL crime is that this company is being persecuted for technical, record-keeping violations, nothing more.

Everybody could own a machinegun until 1922 in NY State. Then the govt crooks didn`t want us to have them. But German WW1 Machineguns were distributed to all the American Legion posts after WW1 by US govt. During and after WW2, many German and Japanese machine-guns, flamethrowers, etc later BAR`s, were sent home thru the US Mail to friends and relatives. Until 1968 Viet GIs came home with all kinds of ak47, Machineguns, grenades etc right thru the airports... Most of these are still here unregistered, in reserve.
It IS THE NOW TIME TO INFRINGE THE INFRINGERS!!!

Right up there with serial killers. Just frightening. :-)

Availability will depend on who buys the assets.

Hopefully an existing gun manufacturer.

Yep, that Plus a Type II FFL. I know ordinary guys who have the Type II FFL just to make “samples” for themselves. Of course, these won’t be transferable outside of the “business”, but who cares, you get to have fun with a whole bunch of full autos that cost little more than semis, and so can your friends and family if they own part of the business.

If I were a moneyed man, I’d buy the assets and move ‘em here to NC. The Soviet Northeast doesn’t deserve such things as jobs or guns.

Stag admits to having violated laws that should never have existed - paperwork errors. Because the thug in our White House is pure evil, Stag will be destroyed. We should keep this in mind over the final terrible year under the anti-American communist, and we should expect the same treatment when we are targeted by the drug-addled bigot and his minions.

I miss freedom and the rule of law.
