On a different note, I was surprised that HBO is now talking eight seasons, especially if Jon Show returns. A lot of story lines are coming to resolution. I'm expecting it to start seeming anti-climatic by the end of season six, with the major players in place, the big puzzles resolved, and most of story over except for the fight scenes when Dany, Jon, and a TBD dragon rider square off against the White Walkers.
If Jon really is killed off, of course, it gets more complicated. But there has been an awfully lot of detailed plotting to get Jon, Dany, Tyrion, and Bran to where they are. GRRM could always throw a curve, but he would be cheating on his own opus to engineer a freak plot twist just for the heck of it. The major players' story arcs are heavily layered and interconnected. It's getting a bit late to pull a brand new major player into the story with a Gomer Pyle style "surprise, surprise."
Jon Snow crawled under a dumpster and survived.
I am only waiting for Ramsey Bolton to be killed. I haven’t wished a more violent end for anybody since King Joffrey.

“What is Ned may never die.”
