Despite Threats, Obamacare Still Winning

Another year gone. Another year of the Affordable Care Act's opponents moving further from - not closer to - getting their way on health care.

How so? This week's omnibus deal, which was approved Friday by the U.S. House and Senate, provided a clear view once again of the uphill climb Republicans face in repealing Obamacare.

The omnibus negotiations never included talk of repeal, because that's a non-starter among Democrats and the White House. Instead, Republicans were left to chip away at the health law they hate.

They did so by postponing two important Obamacare taxes - the Cadillac tax on expensive health plans and a tax on the sale of some medical devices. Republicans (and some Democrats) dislike the taxes because of the burden they put on big business and the medical industry. Republicans also don't mind eliminating two revenue sources for Obamacare.

I’m beginning to believe that the ONLY way to get rid of Obamacare is to repeal and replace the Republican Party.

No wishing until we get a new party.

The GOP is dead, may what may be its soul rest in the center of the sun.

Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell helped Obama push the penal side of Obama care down the road a year so the negative impacts will occur after he leaves office.

The GOP imposed it through Romney,
then grubered Obama and America, and voila,
it may have ruined EVERYONE’S HEALTH CARE
and it may have given an administrator/(doctor+nurse)
of 10, but the Congress and all Moslems are EXEMPT,
... just like everything else from Law to taxes.

How is Obamacare "winning?"

This is unsustainable. And my prediction is that far fewer people are going to scream for "single payer" than they are at fighting to restore the system to what it previously was.

Would that my monthly premium go back to where it was in 2013. But I do not think that will ever happen.

The lefty rag, Charlotte Disturber, is orgasming over this...even though their subscriptions are way down...and they’ve had to shrink the actual size of the paper to the size of those used car advo flyers.

Personally, I'm hoping for a major financial crisis which bankrupts our debt-ridden government. Its the only foreseeable way to restore some limits to government

‘Winning’, in the same way that the ‘law of the land’ has yet to be fully felt by the American people (in no small help w/ the (R) w/ the latest C.R./budget/stop-gap/omni-croni-bus bill).

AKA: The Law is SO great, we’ve got exemptions on exemptions as far as the eye can see...unless you don’t donate big $$, that is. Say, just how is that ‘small biz’ plan working out for Congress?? Aside from BULLSHIT, what do they produce?

The Republicans just helped to make Obamacare Sustainable. That’s the problem right there.

Too bad the Pubs did not at least try to reduce the tax on those who don’t sign up, but, nooooo, gotta postpone burdens on big business and the medical industry...

Don’t misunderstand, I oppose ALL these taxes, but, the Pub’s priority is all wrong...

Bastards.

Not exactly winning when the other team doesn’t even attempt to play.

At best, Barrycare gets a participation award.
