A republican who supports republican Donald Trump.
Keep in mind that The Donald is only a Republican for purposes of convenience. It is easier to “hijack” an existing political party than to build one from scratch, just ask Ross Perot. Add to that, The Donald is not in any way to be considered a “conservative”, but he is a remarkably good libertarian. And he plays the populist angle for all it’s worth.
The Donald’s very ambiguity is what is winning him a lot of supporters, most especially from people who consider themselves to be neither “Republican” or “Democrat”. There is a huge mass of voting age people, fully eligible to vote, but whom have not voted for years if ever, that are waking up to listen to what The Donald has to say.
Wild man? Clown? Whatever, The Donald is sure one hell of an entertainer, and he knows how to sell that.
Just part of the art of the deal.
The existing Republican party hierarchy is feeling a little miffed, but what can they do? The Donald has his own money, and he has bought his ticket to ride.
