We don't know who the people are that want to take Assad down. We trained 5 fighters at the cost of $500 million. Right now, our number 1 concern should be taking down ISIS period. We should stop getting involved in the Syrian civil war, which can only be resolved after ISIS is defeated.
Who poses the greatest threat to the US, ISIS or Assad?

Right. The bigger threat and the threat to US is ISIS.

I agree with you, but it was not General Dunford's or his predecessor General Dempsey's decision. This came straight from the NSC, which came from Barkey.
Shame on Lindsey for not forcing the President into a focused policy. As if someone in uniform has any say in that matter.
