Let's keep it classy FRiends. As I suspect is true of pretty much everyone on here, I cordially detest this man's politics. But having lost loved ones to cancer, I would not wish such a fate on my worst enemy. And so I rejoice that a merciful God has spared him and his family.

Well he has shut his mouth lately so I wish him the best. Maybe he’s happy knowing he’s no longer the worst POTUS of all time.

It seems a little premature to be making such an announcement, but if it’s true then he’s been very fortunate.

Cancer has a reputation for being a “B” and creeping back up on you after you get a clear report. Doctors usually want to monitor it for months to make sure it did really take. I’ve lost friends to cancer who fought it off once only to have to come back twice as a aggressive.

He is a carrier and a spreader of the cancer that is afflicting present day America. He would be considered the worst president ever if hadn’t been overtaken by that zer0 in the White Hut.

Proper terminology is he’s in remission. “Cancer free” implies a cure, when really all they can say is they can’t see any cancer. That requires sufficient duration of hindsight to provide statistically likelihood it will stay so. Needed duration varies for tumors; I had a friend die of a relapse 17 years out. I don’t know which drugs Carter is on for his melanoma. Although the some of the new drugs against it are very impressive initially, even this impressive, the melanoma often recurs in another year or so. Some of the newer drugs do appear to offer chances for long term benefits, though, so he might be one of the lucky ones.

It was melanoma on his brain? I didn’t know that was a thing.
My (non-blood) uncle that died of colon cancer was a lib (good man though) and fan of Jimmuh, whom he regarded as honest. He was 60ish and went 2 in a bag for his last year or so.

Generaly this approach does not work. The few cancer cells left are extremely robust and hearty and and resistant, thats why it “comes back”, this type of treatment rarely gets them all. You have to kill all of them for it to work. Almost never does.
