More than 1,000 people spent their Saturday afternoon in line for a chance to meet former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin at a book signing at Oaktree Gun Club in Newhall.
The one-time Republican vice presidential nominee talked, mingled and took photos with hundreds of her fans for several hours while she sold and signed copies of her bestselling devotional “Sweet Freedom: A Devotional.â€
Fanfare for Palin peaked long before the event even started, as a line stretched far up a hilly driveway at the gun club.
Some people brought their election signs from the 2008 presidential campaign — which featured the Republican ticket of Palin and Arizona Sen. John McCain — while others wore shirts bearing the names of their favorite candidates in the current Republican presidential field.
Betsy James, owner of the gun store at Oaktree, said she was surprised by how many people turned out to see Palin.
In fact, shortly before 1 p.m., all of Palin’s books were sold out even though there were still more than 200 people in line.
“Today has been tremendous,†James said. “The turnout has been great.

I am all for Donald Trump, but I’ll just say he’s lucky Sarah Palin did not enter this race.
A lot of his support would have gone, to her.
And I’m for the guy. :D

Yes I think so too but I would like to see her appointed to a cabinet position. She’s a pretty smart cookie especially about energy.
She does not have to be in presidential politics to have a positive effect on America’s future. With Sarah, Cruz, and Trump, I’m beginning to have the inklings that God may be blessing our country one more time. May we recognize this blessing before it’s too late, and be found capable of extricating ourselves from this quagmire.

Donald Trump himself said this past summer that he would like to have Sarah Palin in his cabinet.
I am afraid you are right. But she can motivate the base, help elect conservative Republicans around the country, and raise money!
