Women in Combat?
Youtube ^

Posted on 12/04/2015 11:08:11 AM PST by rey

So they want women in combat roles? Here is a Marine Arty unit sending 15 rounds, count em, 15 rounds down range in 2:40 with ONE, I say again ONE rammer, most guns have two! Not many people, let alone women can do what this rammer does! (Language caution) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CdO_0twP_CU

This is a nice one too.

Post your military kicking butt links on this thread, please. Pretty much any of the Marines in Fallujah do it for me.

That's a 155 towed and each round weighs about 85-90 pounds. How many rounds go down range before the ammo loading babes can't hack it?
In VN I was on an 8" howitzer (both M55 and then M110) and each round weighed 204 pounds. There were many times on the M55 when one Marine had to lift that round onto the tailgate by himself. It was tough, believe me.
I just don't know many women who could have done that at all, let alone for a sustained fore mission.

The average [1992] female Army recruit is:

4.8 inches shorter, 31.7 pounds lighter has 37.4 fewer pounds of muscle, and 5.7 more pounds of fat than the average male recruit.

She has only 55 percent of the upper-body strength and 72 percent of the lower-body strength

...twice as likely to suffer leg injuries and nearly five times as likely to suffer [stress] fractures as men

Being labelled dumb gives Obammie and his posse an excuse. Dumb has nothing to do with Fundamental Transformation.

What I want to seriously see are videos of women doing combat operations. I am deadly serious. Show an all female artillery unit. Women humping machine gun ammo. I don’t think they exist.

I don't think women in combat will be given a task that required them to lift over 200 pounds (or any other task beyond their capacity) unless they have demonstrated the ability to perform such a task(s). That's not equality but, in practice, that has to be what will happen. The combat unit's effectiveness and survivability depend on it.

The task wasn't given to men either. There's an ammo loading system on the gun that is powered by hydraulics.
But they the guns were so old, they leaked out all the hydraulic fluid and we had no choice but to load manually.
But to your point - if women want to be just like men, why shouldn't they be given the same tasks as men????

This is what women in combat will face, an enemy who will not let up or be constrained by pc attitudes. This Marine is teaching a Female Soldier a very important lesson in the physical differences between men and women.

My point was that they should be but they won't be because, except in rare exceptions, they can't perform certain tasks adequately. It won't matter what 0bama wants, or the command wants. It won't be fair but in combat they won't be given those tasks if it will jeopardize the mission or effectiveness of the unit. If they are given them anyway, it will do just that. This is in no way to denigrate women, it's just an irrefutable fact that they differ physically from men except for a few very exceptional females.

The standard weight of a high explosive shell for a 155mm howitzer or gun is 96 pounds. There are minor variations in weight of individual in the couple of ounce range.

Obama announced today (really) that he will change the Selective Service law. Of course only Congress can do that. But what the hey......
Also the 9th Circus will hear an appeal from a men’s group next week to also change the law to require women 18-25 to register.

What's driving this push to put women into the combat arms? Promotions for female officers to general’s or admiral's stars. Those ranks all require combat experience and so . . . you figure it out. Notice that there is NO stampede of enlisted females who want to be in combat arms. This is all about fenale officers and their career ambitions.

Note to female officers who want to ‘fast track’ their promotions: combat is an equal opportunity killer and wounder. Combat does not take into account intelligence or ability or skill. If you are at the wrong place and the wrong time, the meeting is either fatal or you're wounded (often with incapacitating results).
