That's a 155 towed and each round weighs about 85-90 pounds. How many rounds go down range before the ammo loading babes can't hack it?
In VN I was on an 8" howitzer (both M55 and then M110) and each round weighed 204 pounds. There were many times on the M55 when one Marine had to lift that round onto the tailgate by himself. It was tough, believe me.
I just don't know many women who could have done that at all, let alone for a sustained fore mission.

I don't think women in combat will be given a task that required them to lift over 200 pounds (or any other task beyond their capacity) unless they have demonstrated the ability to perform such a task(s). That's not equality but, in practice, that has to be what will happen. The combat unit's effectiveness and survivability depend on it.

The standard weight of a high explosive shell for a 155mm howitzer or gun is 96 pounds. There are minor variations in weight of individual in the couple of ounce range.
