I’ve always been surprised by the high quality of the Korean film industry. I think it has surpassed that of Japan. I’ve seen too many really good films to recall, from horror, comedy, action and dramas

I have a theory’s that their film industry was developed as a psy ops against the North. Remember that Kim Jong il fancied himself as a film afficianado. How it must have galled him to watch a film from the South and seen an unthinkable level of wealthy and prosperity. Heh
