The Mercedes AMG-GTS is faster yjan the SLR 0-60 at a fraction of the cost. Romor has it that the new Mercedes may use a V12 engine. There are many fast cars today so there is much competition to deal with.

How many cup holders does it have?
If it has at least two cup holders, I might buy one.

I wonder what price range they will target? The old SLR was around $500K. In the $1M range there is already competition from Porsche 918 and Bugatti Veyron along with others.

When I was a kid, I loved to drag race and road race. If my parents had known, it would not have been pretty.
Still, there is such a thing as too much of a good thing. That much power would be a potential killing machine.

CC, yes I know sprint cars are seriously fast. A little lacking in creature comforts though.

Why a V12 v. V8? Is it cubic inches, number of cylinders, smoothness, stroke, etc?

And almost none of those with the money to buy these have the skill or testosterone to deal with the car.
So, they will become baubles for bragging rights on who's d*ck is bigger or faster from 0-60.

Why a V12 v. V8? Is it cubic inches, number of cylinders, smoothness, stroke, etc?12 cylinder engines are smoother and have a much sexier sound than an eight. The V12 emblem has a higher "chick magnet" co-efficient.

So, if I strap an extra V8 engine in my pickup bed I can get more chicks?

Those Sprint Car wings give them downforce for amazing acceleration. Wow, 190 mph on the fastest part of a short track? I would not want to drive one when it was raining or snowing...no windshield!

I know I need at lest 2,000 horsepower to make my weekly trek to HomeDepot two miles away enjoyable. Otherwise, why bother?
