Yes, they still use ACT, SAT. There you have the whole situation of straight A students that suddenly develop “learning disabilities” and “test anxiety” when it comes time to take the ACT or SAT. They (the mothers) somehow get them this special status, then they can take it over like a 2 week period, score 30+, get offered scholarships everywhere and they don’t have to disclose that they didn’t have to take it under the timed circumstances. Pisses me off to no end. Really diminishes the kids that go ahead and take it under the time allotted and do well or the ones that score in the high 20s (ACT) but get no scholarships. Burns me up. Ha just my rant for the day.
Yep surprising since more than half shouldn’t be in college.
My kids and I wanted so bad to check that African American box on the applications just to see what would happen, but being honest people, we didn’t.
The “helicopter-parented snowflakes” aka white students aren’t the problem. We should really be talking about the problem and it’s black (mostly) and hispanic students who have no business being in college but are there because of the color of their skin or their heritage.
Once we get past that then we can talk about the white snowflakes,most of whom pay (or their parents) for their college education.

Exactly. And it’s limited the students who can attend and succeed because they don’t get the scholarship money and tuition has risen because we’re paying for those who have no business being there.
I have girls, two graduated college, one in college, and a senior going to college. They have a slight edge because they’re female with the grades to match. They’d go for free (aka taxpayer funded) if they weren’t white...
True but it’s even lower than that. Different standards.
Same with mine and talks with a friend who is black and whose kids attend college for free and a few who have no business being there.
Yet my white female children get academic scholarships yet still end up with college loans as do we.
It’s frustrating.

The phrase "Equal Protection Under the Law" has lost all meaning, and is a sick joke at this point. Injustice in all things (job hiring, university admission, financial aid, scholarships, and crime) is rampant in our once great nation. This approved injustice is backed by the courts and government at all levels, and is now perpetrated against Christians, those of European descent, boys, and men.
When our government decided to give certain, approved groups "Civil Rights" benefits, special rights, and selective enforcement that were not universally applied, they destroyed the core foundation of what it was to be an American, endowed by their Creator.
Today, "civil rights" are applied to men who like to stick their penises into other men's anuses.
Thus how far has our nation fallen.
I understand the sentiment. At what point do they realize how destructive it is for the intended beneficiaries? They are even further from attaining equality than they’ve ever been; this is reminiscent of the laws forbidding teaching slaves to read. The left is determined to prevent blacks from getting a real education.
It is practically illegal to HAVE any standards in dealing with preferred minorities.
Females (including white ones) get plenty of preferential treatment; it is no accident that they are 59% of college classes. At my job we have plenty of them, and it has served to lower the bar for us men; we now work “girl hours” (no more unpaid overtime as salaried employees).
