Get both. There isn’t that much overlap, plus with Amazon Prime, you’ll also get “free” two-day shipping on orders.
I also have DirecTV, so I can access OnDemand DTV, which often has items I can’t find without getting extra charges, if I can find them at all. Usually, between the three services, I get what I want. And really, for eight bucks a month each, it would be a shame not to have both NF and Amazon.

We are the same re movies. My wife isn’t an Amazon fan, but she suggested that I try a free month of Prime because so many of her and our friends liked it.
We did, and we use Prime for products a few times a week and my Kindle orders.
A couple times a month we get a free Prime on line streaming movie. It works great with our Vizio smart tv and remote.

once you have the video, you need to view it. you can either watch it on your computer... or find a way to get it to your television.
roku and wdtv are two media players that work fairly well at displaying the video to your television.
with this information, a computer, broadband, and a television, you can set yourself up a nice home theatre without having to pay for netflix or cable
Longmire is a great series. It supposedly takes place in Wyoming but it is filmed in New Mexico. :-)
We have Amazon Prime and find we use the included commercial-less music streaming nearly as much as the included movies. I haven’t tried their e-book library checkout, but we do buy a lot from Amazon, so together, it seems to more than pay for itself. Oh, and we gave the free Prime shipping to four other, separate family members (you have four or five you can gift free Prime shipping to).
I hear you. I pay about $18/mo for NF because I get both streaming and mailed but I think I’ll cancel the mailed discs and get AP.
I order a TON of vitamins, usually from vitacost or swanson vitamins, but from time to time I’ll get them from AP and then just try to find them shipped free there.
Does AP ever offer discounts or coupons on things you buy there if you’re a prime member?
Tons of documentaries are available on Netflix and Amazon Prime.

They have unlimited free movies that are included in the subscription like Netflix. They also have online rental streaming movies, basically anything that you could get as a DVD rental at Redbox.

I have had Prime for a few years now. I have saved a lot on shipping. My sons all live in different states and the free shipping saves me a lot. I have 2 painful busted up kness and love being able to shop for whatever I want and having it delivered quickly.
I have a Roku stick that works great and a blue ray that works like the Roku.
I liek the free movies when we watch one and occasionally pay for a new one that we really want to see!
The only thing bad about Netflix is that they’ll have the sequel or part III, but not the original movie.
I have both. Prime tends to have lots of old movies. Netflix has a BUNCH of homo stuff that it is always trying to recommend. Mostly use Netflix for kids thoughts since there are a lot of cartoons.
There’s overlap. Both have some pretty good original TV series. Just finished the first season of Bosch based on the Michael Connaly novels on Amazon. Also watched on Netflix Lillyhammer which Is sort of a spinoff of the Sopranos. Bottom line both are good. I enjoy having both.

I don’t know about coupons, but I get great price breaks from Amazon when I buy things like Prilosec on a monthly subscription basis. The more items you buy on a set subscription, the greater discount you get.
I have been an Amazon Prime subscriber for a few years, mainly for books and music. Prime video/movies, some free and others with rental fee, are ok. Been with Netflix for nearly a year. They don’t offer much in the old classics genre, but their series are pretty good. Can’t get TCM through DISH unless I subscribe to one of the fully loaded programs, then I’m paying for a bunch of stuff I don’t watch. Wish they had a real a la carte program that lets you pick your channels.

I look at prime as a delivery feature for Amazon that allows you to stream movies. The content on Amazon is not always free and Amazon Prime has some limitations as to content.
If you only get one, get Netflix, but at less than $10 a month, drop cable, get a fifty dollar areal and get both.
I agree, TCM is what I miss most from cable.
But there is a substitute available on Roku. It’s called “Classic Reel”. It’s no where near as good as TCM, but it has movies from the 30’s up to the 70’s. Most digitizations are OK, a few are poor. We typically find something good to watch.
Right now we are taking an intermission in the Carry Grant/Grace Kelly movie “To Catch A Thief”.
It costs $1.98 per month for unlimited viewing. No advertising. Sometimes the streaming gets a bug and you gotta reboot.

you need to go off prilosec (or any antiacid) and start taking magnesium :) buy metagenics brand mag on amazon. take 4-8 tabs/day split with meals and you’ll be amazed at how you feel. your acid indigestion will go away. antiacids block the absorption of magnesium which is a crucial mineral.
