I was sent to the supermarket to buy some green beans for Thanksgiving. On the way out I decided to look at the computer magazines in the magazine rack which I have not done in years. This rack is medium size. I figured I would see no computer magazines (computers are passe) but that I would see magazines devoted to smartphones and iphones. But I saw nothing.
What I did see surprised me. 12 gun magazines, maybe one or two were buying guides. I also saw a model drone buying guide. On the cover was a photo of a helicopter type drone with four rotors. I saw four wedding magazines. There were other magazines I did not make a mental note of.
Why so many gun magazines? My guess is they are slanted towards new gun owners. On a crucial and expensive gun purchase a magazine with good photos will do better than the internet for helping buyers? My guess at least.
I prefer my gun magazines in an AC-130.
I started ogling the new Kimber Mini ACP .380 this afternoon in American Rifleman.
Had to take a cold shower to get the urge to pass.
Look at the ads. Lots of money to be made in aftermarket stuff.
Were these magazines greater than 10 pages?
There is a pair of the 3.5 inch Raptors in .45 in our future. Mrs. L and I are both fans of the 1911 platform and already have a couple of Kimbers so they’re our CCW choice.

Happy Thanksgiving my friend.
Our local Food Lion has at least twelve gun mag covers on the rack. I live in semi rural Tennessee.
I’m getting old. My fave mag is “Surplus Military Firearms”. Featuring guns made of blue steel & wood, and nothing else.
It depends on where you are. I went to a chain grocery store in San Diego once and they didn’t have single gun magazine. In Alaska and Arizona there are tons of gun magazines.
Must be a joke? The gun mags had very glossy covers and at were least 100 pages each. Printed on high quality stock to make the weapons photos and advertisements look their best.
How about a magazine, Guns on Drones?
I have a few mag’s......
Yup, a little bit of satire.
Holy crap I had no idea!
You too, my friend.

I have a few for the rifles and pistols, but I can’t afford the tax stamp needed to own the “Gun” I really want.
The guy that posted that picture says, "So many gun magazines at #Kroger #grocery store in #Columbus"
Firearms are the one thing in this economy that are selling like crazy. Everybody wants in on the party. And obama thinks just because he’s going to scribble his name on an executive order we’re all going to run down and turn them in.
