SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- In the past two years, Nathan Kitchen has revealed to his five children that he's gay, gone through a divorce with his wife and grappled with how to stay in a religion that doesn't condone his lifestyle.
Now comes the toughest task: Telling his children he could be kicked out of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints if he someday marries a man, and warning his two youngest, 11 and 15, that they might be barred from serving a mission under new church rules.

The faggots are going to go after all mainline churches. Faggots KNOW they are sinners, they just don’t want to be reminded that they are perverts.
Because it’s all about them.
This is not necessarily the case. A lot of these men "discover" that they are homosexual later in life. Yes, people's desires change. But the thing that pushes these reprobate desires into overdrive to decide to abandon families and vows is believing the widely disseminated homoGestapo lies in the media. They are talked into it.
A most appropriate analogy. Fortunately, the edifice of Christianity has no Mormon bricks.
” Fortunately, the edifice of Christianity has no Mormon bricks”
Good one.
“Gays want....”
Is that their only contribution to American society?
Many of us don’t give a flying damn what they want.
I do, however, have a problem with Mormons refusing to baptize the children of gays.
Punishing children for the sins of their parents is unChristian and immoral. The sins of the father, etc. etc.
The elephant in the room...
Mormon bishops receive little to no training in counseling their wards...they’re laymen who have been promoted to these positions because they’ve been “diligent” and “faithful” in following the precepts of the faith.
The bishop gave a boilerplate response to one of many problems members face...”get active, stay busy, act normal and all will be well.”
And now, a woman and her children left holding the broken pieces of a lie perpetrated by this man who was “counseled” by someone not even remotely qualified to help him or the family.
Prayers for the ex-wife and the children...
But, the beliefs of Muslims are sacrosanct
I’m SHOCKED....SHOCKED I tell you...that the money counters in the mormon church are willing to give up the tithing bucks that could be gleaned from the gays...the gays that I have known were quite well of financially.
Even back in the 50s and 60s there were quite a few homosexual mormons in the churches in the heavily mormon area I lived. They were pretty much accepted among the congregations and held certain church positions. They weren't actively proselytizing to add to their numbers, though.
Not so much...mormonism's numbers are scant compared to the really big religions.
Do you have anything stronger than advil?
Maybe five million on the books in this country and they’re still counting people (Apostates) like me. I’m certain there are at least three million that do not pay tithing or even attend.
I know this dude is from Arizona but here in Utah there is a covey of queers in Salt Lake that are constantly stirring the pot.
They even had Family Homo Evening last night. I’m not kidding.
Family home evening?? Not surprising.
Every single denomination and religion is faced with homosexuality as it is a condition of humanity. The question is how and the doctrine and how the church leaders deal with this issue. God loves sinners but I am not God and therefore I will point out sinners when I see them and help them to turn to the way of righteous. Remembering that I should not exalt in hubris, I recognize that I am a sinner, but I point out those who are sinners. It’s what I do.
Mormon doctrine is too subject to human revision, and is founded on quicksand to begin with. But, on the foundation of moral behavior they are on solid ground. Their cult behavior is a serious fault, especially in light of that there are hundreds of Mormon interpretation of Morman doctrine, all of which grounded in human frailty.
I wish all other faiths would follow the lead of the Mormon Church. Screw the queers.
Does it never occur to them to start their own church. Or would that require too much effort, commitment etc.?
No they want to taint someone else’s church, force others to believe as they do - typical libs.
Mormons try to hide their perverts rather than let the outside world find out. Really no different than some other religions.
