A Long Island mall swapped Santa’s sleigh for something resembling a spaceship and nixed the Christmas tree because it didn’t want to “offend†anyone, irate shoppers told The Post.
The Roosevelt Field Mall ditched its traditional holiday village and put Ol’ Saint Nick inside a winter-themed “glacier†instead. But some say the white and blue display looks more like something out of “Star Trek†than “Twas the Night Before Christmas.â€
“Santa comes along with a decorated tree; he doesn’t come with a spaceship,†Maria Lovdahl fumed.

I’m guessing the Allahu Akbar crowd are the one’s who are offended.
It’s early in November, not Christmas.
Anyone shopping now is not a Christmas shopper.
Reminds me of the milk bar scene in A Clockwork Orange.
I’m guessing either it was the devout atheists who were offended, or the mall operators jumping on the “someone might be offended, so let’s do something that will certainly offend most of our customers” bandwagon.
then the offended people should stop shopping at the mall ......period! Nothing is louder than silent cash registers. Let survive on atheists and muzzies.
