I think you have it backwards. When Hillary was on, they seemed to really step it up a notch to boost her appearance. With Trump, from the very first, incredibly dull scene, throughout the show, the writing was atrocious and unfunny...I think BY DESIGN to hurt Trump. They knew they would get great ratings. They already made their boffo profits with advertisers. All that was left was to leave a bad taste in those viewers mouths...with Trump as the focus of that negativity.
Like the ad for the movie about Benghazi?
;)
You’re probably right. I haven’t watched SNL in years, but did so yesterday as Trump hyped that it would be good. It was not! Not at all - there was no humor whatsoever in anything in which he appeared.
I kinda disagree. From what Trump said to BOR, he walked into a room where there were dozens upon dozens of very young comedy writers. They presented skits, and he picked.
I can tell you that, I’m sure, he nixed 95% because it was bad.
FAct is, these people are not funny and haven’t been for a long long time.
I think SNL jumped the shark when they did a tasteless parody of Karen Carpenter, mocking her volemia after she was dead. I havenât watched it since.
A part from a few opening skits...it was terrible writing, and to think they have a hundred writers?
They need to pair it down to a couple, and start over.
The actors, are talented, to get to that level you have to go through a lot of improve, but still if the writing is bad, itâs bad. It was nothing more than pee pee, ka ka stuff at the end.
It looked like they threw this together in just a few days.
The bottom line, SNL shows that modern comedy is really hate filled humor.
These people couldnât carry Jack Benny, JOhnny, Henny Youngman or countless otherâs shoes.
In short, I laughed only a couple times, then fast forwared it about half way through.
The singer Seeya (good name for her), was like a bad Lady Gaga Tribute act.
Lighten up, Francis. What did you expect, the cast of SNL to fawn over him? Trump went right into the lion’s den, NBC late night dumb comedy show. He knew the risk and went right through it and owned them. Imagine what he’ll do with the risks facing us today.
