The Dallas Cowboys' desperation has become Greg Hardy's greatest advocate. His enabler, really. You can see this unfolding with owner Jerry Jones feeling his Super Bowl season slipping away a prime opportunity falling to 2-4 and fading fast. Then he looks away, but only in one direction: to stare at the locker room door, waiting for quarterback Tony Romo to swoop in with a cape on. Meanwhile, on the other end of the room, Greg Hardy is doing whatever he wants. Frankly, he's making Jones look bad, and I'm not sure the Cowboys' owner even cares anymore.

Oh, for the days when a Coach had some autonomy in running a team. Tom Landry would never have put up with this gangster culture.
This guy is Charles Haley times ten. And anyone who remembers what Haley was like when he was here can tell you, he was a pretty intense guy as well.
Yeah but Haley still deserves to go the HOF. 5 Super Bowl rings.
I agree, but at the same time, he could be a real PITA in the locker room at times.
But in a way, seeing how the Special Teams gave away the game, I don’t blame somebody for blowing up at them. Just wish it was somebody else.
From what I see coming out of ESPN(the Sports Media’s MSNBC) today, Hardy should be fired for not being gay enough.
Bringing publicity generating high profile problem children into the locker room has been Jerry’s. Business plan for years.
Sadly, it has worked for him financially, so those of us who are fans because of Landry and others, or have been here since the beginning or are homers in the north Texas areas have had to endure this decline of character.
The decline of character is league-wide.
Off topic, but I have never been able to get over how Jerry Jones fired Tom Landry on the very first day he took ownership of the Cowboys. I have resented him ever since.
I agree, but I feel like Jones has been a leader in the movement. And the gains in franchise value he has seen motivates most of the other ps to follow suit.
And yet he didn’t draft Randy Moss because of character issues....go figure.
Cowboys deserve him.
AMEN...
As long as any one (or more) of the following is in place, the Cowboys WILL NOT be in a Super Bowl:
1) Jerry Jones has the last word for anything 'Cowboys',
2) Jason Garrett is the head coach, and
3) Tony Romo is the starting QB
Clearly, not enough innocent people have died (yet) .... alas ...
JJ. hired T.Owens remember ?
Me too, he is like a scumbag lawyer. If you ever shake his hand you damn well better head to the shower afterwards.
No offense but from Hollywood Henderson (taking liquid cocaine on the sidelines) to Michael Irvin (stabbed a teammate in the neck with scissors) the Cowboys have had (and looked the other way on) known character issues in the past, even under Landry. Jones just takes it to a whole new level.
Haley was also a damned good player.
On the golf course, as I recall. It was shabby, but Landry’s coaching had been sub par ever since he abandoned the multiple offense and flex defense.
And who was that a-hole JJ hired who came late to practices, didn’t play worth a damn and ended up going to Detroit? JJ wildly overpaid for the guy and kept him around so long it looked like the guy had something on JJ.
