Maybe they’re afraid of the masses who are jealous of their vast wealth and would love to see them pay for a change.
It’s the jealously the poor have for the rich and the rich will be shown no mercy when the playing field is leveled.
I do like certain areas of E Tennessee, but I’m not too concerned about Memphis. I believe the city dwellers will hang close to the city until they no longer have the resources to cause trouble in the countryside.
Memphis is over seven hours and two metro areas away. Not a concern for East Tennessee. Atlanta could be, though.

The topic of weapons is very subjective, and there are those who have strong opinions on the topic. However, the recommendations I made were based on a TON of research (my book's bibliography - 19 pages in a tiny font, is indicative of exactly how much research was involved).

Me and the Mrs. area looking to relocate there for retirement. Johnson County area in NE TN...or maybe Johnson City area.
Other than housing availability/prices, gun laws in TN and tax rates...which all look good to me, I haven't done too much detailed research.

Herein is an interesting dilemma for the Trumpettes on FR who seem to think President Trump will be leading the pitchfork brigades, fighting the good fight with us and for us, and justice will reign in the land.

Our complacency and misguided trust in “leaders” is what got is into this fix. Our vote won’t fix things, not even if the candidate claims to be Batman or insists that another 9/11 won’t happen on his watch. Trusting in leaders again and again while expecting different results is the definition of insanity.
Neither The Donald nor anybody else is gonna protect us or save us if SHTF. We really are on our own, and that’s as it should be.
All the more reason to prep. Self sufficiency is its own form of self defense.

How will these rich folks know if they will be able to reach their place of safety when “IT” happens ?
Hopefully 100+ miles from Nashville will be far enough.
