Good afternoon gardeners. It's a cool 58 degrees here in Missouri and the skies are gray. It rained yesterday. This was travel, surgery, and recovery week for me - so no gardening.

Tampa weather was great - some rain, but lots of sunshine too. Great seafood. The operation went well, and I didn't have to stay in the hospital over night.

Overnight, I have decreased my chances of having a stroke by 500% and will now be able to reverse osteoporosis by taking supplements - no need for the hard meds. Anything else is just a bonus in my book.

Have been sleeping like crazy - 20 years of sleep deprivation to make up for. LOL Thanks to every one for the best wishes and prayers. I guess I should have had someone else do the thread, as I was just too tired to do much and am still a bit tired.

I'll be trying to catch up this next week, along with preparing tax information. Prayers up for all. Have a great weekend. God Bless.

It’s 94 degrees in Phoenix today and my Brazilian Pepper tree has flies all over it. It was full of bees but I guess they finished.

Is that normal?

Get well, rest them greeneyes and the rest of ya too. Well my volunteer ‘watermelon’ is turned out to be a cantaloupe. Duhhh...
Size of a softball right now and its the only one on the vine. Still pretty warm and dry here in North Tx. Mother Nature is an unequal distributor of moisture. We can call her a racist and a bigot but she dont give a flip and only answers to God. But Mother, please— how about a little rain my dear.

Over an inch of rain, plus heavy fogs & dews since last week; temps staying above frost levels at night; and fluctuating between the low 60s & mid 80s during the day.

Getting a few zukes and winter squash still, post-recovery from the late August frost.

Second bloom on the rescued Easter lily opened today.; brightens up the kitchen.

Days rapidly shortening; we lose 87 minutes of daylight in October, so the chickens now have their supplementary LED lights going.
