Are Mideast Muslims Dying for a Myth?
American Thinker ^ | 10/08/2015 | Mike Konrad

Posted on 10/08/2015 7:33:47 AM PDT by SeekAndFind

Given the way the Mideast is headed, things are so unpredictable that this present Jerusalem flare-up could run the gamut from burning itself out in a few days to inciting a war against Israel, eventually bringing in Iran, the Muslim world, and then the whole world. The Arabs claim it is an Intifada, the Arabic word for resistance – but what is enormously troubling is the fallacy behind it.

Fueling much of this Arab fury is a renewed Jewish presence on the al-Aqsa Mosque compound. Over the past two years, Jews have started to gather outside al-Aqsa, and the Muslims see it as a land grab. Jews see it as reasserting their rights to worship on their sacred Temple area.

Even secular Israeli Jews have questioned whether these Jews should be allowed on the formerly Jew-free area. It only stirs up the Arabs.

Islam claims that, during his lifetime, Mohammed took a night journey on a flying steed, called al Buraq, to Jerusalem to the Farthest (al-Aqsa) Mosque. The irony is that, according to Muslim sources, there was no mosque in Jerusalem for Mohammed to visit. So why are they fighting over what never was?

Official Muslim history says Mohammed died in 632 AD – if one uses the Islamic calendar, the year 10. Of this, there is no debate among imams, mullahs, Shi'a, Sunni, Wahhabi, Sufi, etc. By every account, Western or Islamic, Arab armies did not reach Byzantine Roman Christian Jerusalem until 636 AD of our calendar, to immediately set a siege. The Arabs did not enter in until 637 AD, when Christians finally surrendered the city.

Almost five years after Mohammed's death. Five years!

Even were one to accept Islam, there were no mosques in Jerusalem until after Mohammed's death.

They are dying for a scam that was set up for the benefit of a guy who’s been dead 1500 years.

I for one don’t care as long as they are dying. They and their apologists are a curse on the civilized society. There will be no peace until they are removed.

“But Islam’s claim to al-Aqsa requires that a mosque existed in Jerusalem during Mohammed’s lifetime.”

No. Islam’s claim to al-Aqsa is based on occupation and force of arms. We conquered it, we built it to stomp on the Jews, and we will kill you if you try to come here.

It’s a very deep subject, and the subject can’t even be scratched in a forum post, but I’d figure I might start a conversation. I’d been very interested in exorcisms and had done an awful lot of research on the matter. The same issue had come up in every book that I had read; That the possessed are not inclined to attack and blaspheme any deity but Jesus Christ.
Even as our society becomes evermore and obviously Satanic, the target of the attack is ALWAYS Christianity and Catholicism. Our faith must remain steadfast that Hell shall never triumph over the Church.

No question that principalities and powers energize all false religion, Islam being the most viscerally nasty one. Believers need to keep their eye on the prize, the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ.

“Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written “Vengeance is mine, says the LORD, I will repay.”—Romans 12

As a feisty American I find this truth hard—isn’t it right to resist tyranny?!?—but am ultimately resting in it. The Lord WILL repay all those not beloved. Faith says it IS SO.

Jews in Israel are the convenient go-to excuse for muslim violence across the globe from massacres in the southern Phillipines, to the violence in Kashmir, to muslim liquidation of Christians in southern Sudan, to the ethnic cleansing of chinese in Indonesia, to iranian sponsored bombings in latin America. Yup, if only those jews in Israel would just move to Florida, it would all stop.

The myth that Jerusalem has any significance to Arabs based on the town/Temple Mount being “holy” to Arabs is purely for Western consumption.

Everyone local knows it is nonsense.

I’m studying whether yoga can lead to possession. I don’t do yoga, never liked it but have three women I’m close to who use it and swear by it. Same questions about Reiki massage. On the one hand it seems to be useful but on the other if a person is not well formed in the faith, it could be scary, like a weegie board or the yi ching. Thoughts freepers?

I have read that when Caliph Ottman came to power he had all the korans confiscated. He then had it rewritten to his satisfaction and redistributed.
Anyone caught with an older koran was put to death.

No, it isn’t satan. It isn’t magic. It isn’t some supernatural origin. It is simply a work of fiction written by a fraud.
It is as though the whole world has suddenly ordered their society and life as though Harry Potter was 100% real and worshipped JK Rowling as his messenger.

It doesn’t even deserve to be seen as anything more than that. Id actually have more respect for it if it came from old Scratch himself.

Yes, stay away from yoga studios, and Ouija boards, and massage. All come from satan. And if the demons get into you from a Hasbro parlor game, then we have to call this guy in a fedora to come save you. Big lame movie in the 70s.

Devils are everywhere. Be sure to shake out your shoes before putting them on.

Or you could just trust Jesus to protect you from hot women with in sexy poses with their asses up in the air, and from any and all games made by Hasbro.

“Avenge yourselves” and “resist tyranny” and not even close to the same thing.

Never seek revenge. We fight for what is right. Not for some darkness in our hearts.
