Lawrence Krausss argument for atheism is like that of an artist who confines himself to using black and white materials and then concludes that, since color doesnt show up in his drawings of fire engines and apples, it follows that fire engines and apples are not really red.

Think of it this way: you cant find out why checkers boards exist by looking at the rules of checkers themselves, which concern only what goes on within the game. The rules tell you how each piece moves, how the game is won, and so forth. But why are the pieces governed by these rules, specifically, rather than others? Why do any checkers boards exist at all in the first place? No scrutiny of the rules can answer those questions. It is impossible to answer them, or indeed even to understand the questions, unless you take a vantage point from outside the game and its rules.

And what’s it any of this jerk’s business what they believe
He’s the one with the problems. My experiences with atheists show that they’re angry, immature, self-hating bigots
Get help Strauss immediately, embrace religion
Problem with atheists is they are not content with the fact that they have the right to not believe, they don’t want anyone TO believe. Please butt out of my spirituality.
I have recently turned my life over to Jesus Christ, and have but barely scratched the surface of reading the Bible, but I have already read about warnings in regards to those who mock, deny etc. Something has become clear to me since I made my decision, The Bible has not changed and people have not changed.
How can someone belief beyond doubt that there isn’t a god. Agnostics at least are open to the possibility.
Last paragraph of the article:
“His fellow scientists dont need Krausss advice, but perhaps he would profit if more of them told him to give it a rest already. In particular, he could do with less militancy and mouthing off, and more effort acquiring some actual basic knowledge about the ideas he is criticizing.”
Sounds like someone has SOME common sense anyway.
Spot on.
Example: Atheists hate Nativity scenes. They want them removed from wherever they are set up. Why?
If they don't believe in God and dispute that Jesus even existed, then to them, a Nativity scene is just a baby in a manger with Mom and Dad surrounded by a bunch of animals and a few old guys. Why does it offend them so?
‘My experiences with atheists show that theyre angry, immature, self-hating bigots’
And usually Socialists who want everybody else to pay for whatever the Socialists want.
Atheists who have grown up with western ethics and morals are fine, grounded people.
As they move away from this culture in generations, it gets weird. They become open vessels for WHATEVER sails through their spirits and minds. Since they vehemently reject God, guess what the ‘WHATEVER’ is.
