Why Donald Trump is the new Ronald Reagan
Personal Liberty.com ^ | Posted on October 8, 2015 | Wayne Allyn Root

Someone finally listened. I’ve been searching for the new Ronald Reagan to make America great again. I’ve argued in my past four books and hundreds of commentaries that taxes are too damn high on America’s risk-takers, job creators and business owners. I’ve pleaded for a dramatic, Reaganesque tax cut to supercharge the economy and create millions of new jobs.

I’ve been searching for a president who would reward the economic engine of America (small business) and reward the people who value work ethic, personal responsibility and rugged individualism over cradle-to-grave government dependency. That was how Reagan created the greatest economic expansion in world history — by incentivizing the only people who matter to an economy: the business owners, financial risk-takers and job creators.

By God, I think we just found our new Reagan. His name is Donald Trump, and his tax plan is Reagan squared.

I agree....he is the one that has nothing in this election except to heal America and it’s legal American citizens, vets, wounded warriors and others that have been tromped on for years....

Thank God for Trump!!!

The only difference being that, Ronald Reagan developed his political philosophy over decades, documented in his radio addresses, etc. Donald Trump? Not so much.

I hate to take issue with what you’re saying, but in my opinion Donald Trump developed his political philosophy over decades, working.

Working.

Just saying.

In other words, he is an undocumented politician.

Just saying.

Wayne Allyn Root is great on a lot of things, but he’s pro-abortion. That means there’s something in him that’s deeply sick. He thinks America can be “great” while continuing to kill 1.5 million babies every year.

Trump’s about as close as we’re ever going to get to another Reagan.

He’s born here. He’s an American. He’s a New Yorker.

I loved him when he said, “It’s disgusting what’s happening to our country.”

Now THAT is my man!

Thanks for your post.

Wayne Allyn Root seems to me to be pretty strong. Not sure about his position on abortion.

I’m (sort of) anti-abortion. I am however not focused on the issue, I feel it is more suitably left to women, but that is just me. I very much appreciate your post.

Trump isn’t a perfect candidate, just as Wayne Allyn Root isn’t a perfect commentator.

But he’s pretty good. Better than anyone else out there.

Wouldn’t Cruz be closer? Reagan was a Christian man, from what I’ve read. I don’t think Trump is anti-Christian, by any means, but he’s not a devout follower. I think Cruz is.

Look at our world versus the 1980’s. One had better evolve on issues quickly or die with our country being overrun by illegals and potential terrorists. I am glad Trump can think fast and see ahead. Trump’s boldness and Cruz brilliance might save us.

Trump was thinking about running for president 30 years ago. He has way more business and international experience than Reagan had. In many ways, Trump is more prepared than Reagan was in 1980.

Right after 9-11, I believe Trump proposed rebuilding the WTC exactly as it was, only 10 floors higher. I think he said he could have gotten it done in 1 year. I believe him. What’s it going on now— 14 years???

I am all in for TRUMP & no other, but it’s disturbing to see our opportunity to recover our country undermined the way it’s being undermined. Unintended consequences & we’ve had too many the last 4 years.
