Listening to people talk about Sanders and how well he is doing. Since Sanders is big anti Wall Street Socialist, and given how tight the Democrat party Leadership is currently with Wall Street and "Big Money", is it possible he might end up being a Leftist Perot?
The Money men and Unions who own the Democrat Party are NOT going to allow the Democrats to run Sanders. He is far too dangerous to their crony capitalist looting of the Federal Treasury. When they cut Sanders off at the knees, might he decide to run as an Independent?
What happens if the GOPe does the same thing to Trump?
Could we see a situation in 2016 where Populist candidates from the parties bases run insurgent campaigns against the Establishment Party candidates?
Could 2016 be a 3 way or 4 way race?
Look up 1860.
Look up 1864
There were no Republican candidates in 1864.
Could be 1860. Could be 1948. Could also be 1968 or 1912, which was just a three-way race. Trump will outdraw the GOPe nominee.
Big donors will NEVER give money to a 3rd party candidate, they are primarily paying for political access and they won't risk it.
The fourth candidate would not be Trump, it would be JEB running on the RINO Party banner!
Wallace did REALLY well in 1968. Every adult that I knew of voted for him.
A couple of states have passed spoiler laws. If somebody runs for a party nomination and loses then those states won’t put them on the ballot as an independent. That was the importance of Trump declaring he would not be an independent.
John Fremont was run against Lincoln
I see it now clearly. Hillary Democrat, Sanders third party, Trump republican, bush 4th party!! I see it.
Ah thanks I did not know that.
They will be like the Krupp and Thyssen. They’ll think they can control him.
1) Clinton drops out due to “health reasons”
2) Biden enters. Becomes the establishment choice for the Dems.
3) Sanders runs as an independent.
4) Cruz and Trump do not seem to criticize each other. I believe they’ve formed a team. One wins and supports the other. No third party for either.
5) Carson, Fiorina and Rubio each take their turn at 2nd place. Then drop.
Three-way race.
On the Republican side look no further than the recent Alaskan senate contest. Also the recent Mississippi contest. The GOPe plays nasty to win.
Anti wall street socialist.
This is a curious phrase to me. How do they eat?
I see it the same way. But if Bernie runs third party, you can count on him to have an unfortunate “accident” before election day.
LOL!
In Sanders case by getting elected to public office.
What makes you think that Michelle Obama won’t enter the race in the 11th hour to get the Dem vote from Biden?
