My Pi is slow enough without a Microsoft OS. I think I’ll skip Win 10.

Exactly - and the sysfs makes it pretty simple to control devices. Guess I’d have to look at the OS but why would I want to give up the unix type familiarity and history as well the ability so compile my kernel to exactly what I want.

I just don’t see developers wanting to make something, harder, slower, less secure and more difficult to debug. I can just see VB.NET with the latest incantation of Crystal Reports for the Rasberry Pi2.

However, even I take my tech opinions with grain of salt I don’t understand why people use PHP but they do, usually the same geniuses that think serverside javascript nodejs is a good idea.
