I swear by Toyota, best car made ever. Have a 4runner with over 300,000 and it still runs like new.

...The Krauts figured out a way to pass the test and make a car that runs better...
German ingenuity and engineering innovation at work.

I have an Audi S6 and a Mercedes C300. The Audi is a V8 Twin Turbo with dual clutch transmission. Car and Driver timed the Audi 0-60 at 3.7 seconds.

Their infamous “Service Position”(drop engine, service car) makes them a non-starter. That, and I like my cars to have a nice, engine-generated bass sound =)
On the other hand, I’ll give them credit for sticking it to the environmental regulators. They deserve it for what they’ve done to cars.

This is why I drive 2015 Honda Fit EX. My car has gotten me as high as 42.0 mpg on steady freeway driving at 65 mph. (thumbs up) And Hondas are generally very reliable and hold up their value very well, too.

Let’s hope that they just learn how to do it better versus fixing it to EPA demands.
Worst case, just ship California the “fixed” models and let the rest of us have the “broken” ones.

No, but the takeover by Muslim invaders might.

Not a TDI -- My VW Jetta VR6 was engineered in Germany, but made in Mexico. Parts manufactured around the world.
I doubt German brand car enthusiasts will be swayed negatively by this.

I doubt German brand car enthusiasts will be swayed negatively by this. More likely, they'll give them credit for an inventive work-around...

I guess that’s why they’re #1 world wide even over Toyota. This ain’t the “70s anymore.

"I have a 2001 Camry manual. I swear it will never die."
Never swear. I said the same thing about my wife's 2000 Malibu. At 240,000 miles it had almost no repairs and did not burn any oil. But then a very vicious oak tree attacked it when my daughter was driving it. My daughter was not hurt, but who would of thought that an oak tree would do such a thing?

Bought a VW Rabbit many years ago.
The worst piece of crap I ever owned, and I will NEVER buy a VW product ever again.
