As Disney continues to reboot old animated favorites into live-action features, the studio is now looking to team with its Into the Woods helmer for a new take on one of its classic musicals.
Sources confirm to Variety that Disney is developing a new Mary Poppins musical with Rob Marshall set to direct.

The Chimney Sweep will either be a germophobe with OCD and breaks into homes to clean their Chimney without asking, or he will be a kleptomaniac miser who hates to bathe, and has a portrait wall of famous people who have gone years without bathing.
The two children will be revealed as adult midget refugees from the Russian Circus.
Mary Poppins will be based on a sympathetic version of Joyce “Tillie” Mitchell, the prison worker who helped two convicts escape.

Well, I just hope they don’t use this remake to push homosexuality, global warming, or any other liberal causes.
New cast summary:
Dad - evil crony corp capitalist who comes to understand the value of socialism
Mom - strong women who fights for the rights of ....
Son - impressionable lad who feels bad at how all the down trodden people are treated
Daughter - young girl who is exploring her sexuality with the girl down the street.
Maid - repressed illegal who just wants a better life
Cook - an older lady who the system has failed and has no retirement due to corporate lay offs and must supplement her social security check.
Mary Poppins - A smart, wise (minority of choice) who provides pearls of wisdom that guide the daughter into feeling good about her lesbian feelings, encourages the son to put aside his white privilege and help the poor, comforts the maid and the cook and even helps the dad to understand how evil the system is and changes his outlook so that from now on he will work to help others.
