Washington (CNN)—A new CNN/ORC poll finds that although misperceptions about Barack Obama's religious beliefs and background persist, they are not as widespread as some recent polling has suggested. Obama was born in Hawaii and is a Christian.
Overall, when asked "where was Obama born, as far as you know?" 80% of adults say they believe Obama was born in the United States, while 20% said that he was born outside the country. And just 9% of those who think he was born elsewhere believe there is solid evidence of that; the other 11% say it is just their suspicion.
Misperceptions about Obama's religious beliefs are more common than those about his birth, particularly among Republicans. Overall, 29% of Americans say they think the President is a Muslim, including 43% of Republicans.

Speaking of proof, CNN, 0% of the population has ever seen or heard any proof of where 0bama was born such as a real Birth Certificate.

I think The Won was probably born in Hawaii. But adopted by an Indonesian stepfather thereby giving him Indonesian citizenship. Hence the secrecy about his birth certificate and hidden school records. His affection for that period in his life is apparent.
His romantic view of his absent Muslim, Kenyan father is also apparent. I think some folks in that situation (absent, unknown father) get in that mode. Hey I’m a Kenyan!!
His view of America was developed then and enhanced by the Rev. Wright and communist upbringing.
I really think that the only alter O worships at is the alter of O. I KNOW he has no love for this country.

Of the 20% who said they thought Obama was born outside the country, half of them probably think he was born in Hawaii but don’t know that Hawaii is part of the United States.
Obama's actions provide no evidence at all that he is a Christian; we know Obama is a Christian only because he said so. Just like we know that "If you like your doctor . . ." and "If you like your insurance . . ." and "Obamacare will not cover illegals . . ." and "I cannot pass Amnesty through executive action . . ." and "Not one dime of Obamacare will go for abortions . . ." and . . .
It's no wonder so many people doubt his word. It's not that we think he doesn't know who or what he worships. We just think he lies compulsively. I suspect there is only one thing sacred to him, and it's his own image in a mirror:
