Ruby Butler, 27, was sitting with her feet on a chair when she was told she should be arrested for her actions
Ms Butler posted footage on Facebook claiming she was 'abused' on train
Argument quickly escalated into a heated religious debate
Video has already received more than 500,000 views on social media
One man got more than he bargained for when he told a woman that she should not rest her feet on an underground train seat.
Footage of the heated argument has taken social media by storm and has received more than 500,000 views, since Ruby Butler, 27, posted it on Facebook earlier this week.
Ms Butler, who was at the centre of the dispute, captioned the video: 'So on my way home today on the train I got abused
for having my feet on the chair.'

Some day, maybe soon, that WILL be an arrestable offense. Because anything that upsets a muslim will be deemed a "hate crime".
Well of course, she placed her whorish infidel devil’s feet on a seat so no one else can ever sit there without being haram, no wonder he got so upset.
On METRA and the CTA putting your feet up is verboten, too. Push it far enough and yes, you’ll be arrested.

Definitely not guilty!
i keep thinking that this muslim scum will push it too far, and generate a serious flash back. but, alas, it seems we dont have it in us.
I don’t know about arrested, but people should not put their feet on the train seats. It is crude, unhygienic, unlady-like, and speaks volumes of her upbringing. people walk through all sorts of vile stuff and then transfer it to the seats? Gross.
I am disgusted by the people at sporting events or movie theaters who put their feet on the seat in front of them. What makes anyone think I want to sit through an event with someone’s feet a foot or two from my face?
She can put her feet any damn place she wants.
It is definitely a cause for arrest in NYC. So is putting your bag on an empty seat, or doing anything that uses more than one seat per rider.
Like manspreading?
Long ago, I flew from Boston to Schenectady. The Mohawk (Slowhawk) airplane broke so we spent the night sleeping on the cold, bare terminal floor in Boston. About 3:30AM they finally got an airplane, a mail flight. The mail flew up front and we dozen or so passengers were herded aft. We were exhausted and cold. I took my shoes off, lowered the back of the seat ahead of me, and put my feet up on the lowered seat back and tried to go to sleep. Wham! A stewardess slapped my feet off the seat and screamed at me not to do it again. Was my last flight on Slowhawk and the airline folded soon after.
No longer.

Not arrested. Smacked on the back of the head, maybe. Whatever. It is disgusting. I ride the NJ-NY Path train every day and have never seen it done. I’m pretty confident no commuter would approve of anything so rude and obnoxious.
But the objection here was purely a religious objection! Evidently, no muslim can sit on a seat where a shoe has been. I guess the seat has been defiled in some way.
Islamic correctness is political correctness on steroids.
And he should be dead.
Hey muslim....your in OUR country, you know AMERICA...the one YOU came to...
If you don’t like it here, you can swim your butt back to Mecca and we won’t miss you at all...in fact take the rest of your buddies with you!!!
Of course it begs the question, if Ruby Butler was a “Miss Thang”, ratchet type with her feet on the seat and they were both on the #2 riding under Lenox Av up the middle of Harlem would this mooslime have started sh!t with her?
If the seat is not taken and no one needs a seat?
Can't speak for the CTA, but I ride Metra every Monday - Friday. Have been since 1988. I routinely rest my feet using the empty seat in front of me. I hang my feet OVER the seat so that my shoes never touch the seat, my ankles and calves do. When I'm on a late train (anytime after 7pm) I've occasionally taken my shoes off and put my feet on the seat to rest & nap on the way home. I've never received so much as a comment from any Metra conductor about doing so.
What you WILL get thrown off the train for is being drunk & disorderly and being hostile/belligerent to other passengers or the conductor.
That's been my experience for the last 27 years on Metra. Note that I take the Metra Southwest Service train and it's seldom full. There are almost always plenty of empty seats on the train I ride in the morning and evening.
