I find it astonishing that you equate Trump's comments to China's problem. Quite the opposite. If what Trump was saying about China was correct, they'd be BOOMING not collapsing.
There's a recent lesson from history in that. As of 2012, Trump would include OPEC in every rant about China. It was OPEC and China back then. And Trump's rhetoric was the same - he would bully in there and negotiate them with his astounding skill - and all our problems would be gone. Never EVER a mention from Trump about American production being the key to making OPEC irrelevant. NOT A PEEP!!!!!
So where is OPEC now? Irrelevant. Did it have anything to do with Donald's negotiating prowess? NONE. In fact, he misdiagnosed the problem totally. Now he doesn't mention OPEC.
Same with China. We have within our borders all we need to not only compete with China, but to allow mutually beneficial commerce to take place. It's about our own liberalism, not China's currency or anything else. We can't do anything about it anyway, no more than we could OPEC - until our own domestic reality overwhelmed it.
China is booming.
Big time. The thing is American have no rights there. So now we have built up China to be an even bigger exporter than America is, they are growing (rapidly) yet we continue to buy Chinese stuff all across our country, selling out ever more American manufacturing.
We have taken the war against unions to the extreme, that we’re now backing the world’s largest communist country.
Bring back American production.
Clinton gave many of our security data TO the Chinese and maybe ... MAYBE ... they saw Trump a year before WE did
We live in a time where so much has happened in the past that is playing out today, it is almost impossible to connect dots except in generalization(s)
