Why The Donald Can Go the Distance (America first)
The Daily Beast ^ | 09.11.151:00 AM ET | Mark McKinnon

Sorry, folks, Trump isn’t going to fade away anytime soon, and will likely still be a major force at the convention.

Donald Trump is keeping a lot of people up at night. And they are wrestling with scenarios about how and when he is going to fade or go away. The problem is they are leaning on history and conventional wisdom as their crutch. And Trump is turning out to be a crutch kicker.

Donald Trump is not going away any time soon. In fact, he may be here to stay. Here’s why.

Voters have become completely disillusioned with politics because they have been let down so many times.

They don’t believe a word any politician says anymore. And they don’t really care what the outcome of the elections are because they don’t think anyone will keep their word anyway. Voters are at the Network threshold: they’re mad as hell, and they’re not going to take it anymore.

So what better way to express their disgust with the system than to take a very large and sharp stick and poke it in the eye of the body politic. And that stick is Donald Trump.

If there is one thing Donald Trump amplifies and exemplifies more than anyone imaginable, it is utter contempt for the establishment status quo.

President Trump is going to build a (real) Southern Wall, he cannot back away from that. That one thing will make it all worth it.

Trump is saying he wants to bring back jobs to America.

We currently have almost 100,000,000 out of work. The statistics don’t even come close to covering what is happening. 94,000,000 the last I heard.

If Dems are supporting American jobs, then that might be an issue, but here you have the most popular Republican in recent history, and he’s strongly saying we have gone (much) too far in de-Industrializing.

I completely agree.

I 100% support Donald Trump because he’s strongly for working Americans.

Donald needs to stay away from saying such things.

Yep. What might fly in the boardroom (especially if you're the chairman of the board) might not fly in the real world.

Trump needs to keep on boldly saying what needs to be said, PC or not. But Trump needs to consider this: Just one silly misstep can sink a campaign. Dean's single goofy cheer is a perfect example of that.

Amazing the number of these sketchy little pervs who run around Washington skimming, too often literally, the cream.

>> "I'm pro-Trump, and would like to see a Trump/Cruz ticket. However, I'm starting to think that Trump might indeed blow it, specifically by saying a too-long string of silly things. The comment about Fiorina's looks is be one example of such a silly thing.

I agree.

Donald needs to stay away from saying such things."

I disagree. He needs to build up total inoculation from political correctness and especially with regard to females, all of them. Hillary might still be the opponent you know!

Women just love to act all emancipated but yet still desire a traditional gentleman's treatment at every opportunity. Even those rotten liberal hags who use PP and the "war on women" as weapons against us.

Doesn't anyone remember Hillary, the "strong" Socialist, Nixon antagonizer, Alinksy student who conveniently hid behind her skirt in the debate with Rick Lazio? Talk about having their cake and eating it too. This crap has got to stop. Megyn Motormouth anonymously calls Huffington and Rosie O'Donnell "women" to gin up the "war on women" meme. They are women in genitalia only ( not really sure about that even ).

These "women" want the freedom to attack us at will but run and hide behind their vaginas at first sign f rrturn fire. Enough already, that's a recipe for defeat. You want to play in the big leagues, ya better be ready to take incoming. This goes especially for Hillary, who if she is the nominee, starts with a huge advantage from the biased media. It is going to take everything to counter that. So if Trump can be inoculated from "Lazio" and "Macacca" type incidents, then it helps level the playing field.

“’Im with you…………Trump/Cruz or Cruz/Trump”

I have 3 choices for the next presidential election Cruz...... Trump....or no one!

After the last election cycle I feel betrayed!

I am truly fed up with all these professional politicians who care more about themselves and the PC crowd!

America FIRST!!!

I kind of agree with you. My beef with Trump here is not that he said something silly about a woman. It’s that he said something silly in the first place.

A few of such remarks is generally not harmful (exception: Howard Dean’s scream). But a whole string of them might get some folks thinking about stability issues.

Obliviously the Donald hasn’t caved into the PC police. So he’s got that going for him. The MSM and the PC police are waiting for Trump to kowtow to them, screw that.

Obama's lies, however, have had a real-world negative impact on the populace

Or has it been the total capitulation, after lying about what they would do, by Boehner & McConnell? Or even a combination of both creating the perfect storm.

Trump would never play 2nd fiddle, his ego wouldn’t allow it. Thus only the 1st scenario you present is a real possibility. If Trump proves to be a successful President, it would stand to reason that Cruz would succeed him.

With much prayer and contemplation/ soul searching (which continues)....
I thought at the beginning.....and still think....God may have thrown us a lifeline as we circled the drain
........and Trump as a lifeline is not what I would have imagined in a million years
......but God works in mysterious ways and throughout the Bible He used unusual, sometimes broken people to accomplish great things

There are better men running to help make America great again [note the tagline], and if anyone knows that, Jesus does; keep praying... because, yes!, I couldn’t agree with you more; we’re circling the drain.

Pro-life or no life, 2016!

then you are a liberal statist....under the false Bernie Sanders impression that government’s job is to protect jobs....that government CAN protect jobs....etc.

Our government is supposed to protect us militarily and protect our liberty, period. When they protect some jobs, they screw other jobs. This is typical government interference.

No one believes you’re not a union troll btw. You spout the same stuff 100% of the time...so if by some reason you are NOT a union troll, maybe you should be.

Just what we need—another president with a big ego!

Sorry—I just cannot warm up to the guy—but will vote for him if he’s the choice, of course.

I find it astonishing you use the word 'astonishing' because I speculated about what could be based on what has happened.

Clinton gave many of our security data TO the Chinese and maybe ... MAYBE ... they saw Trump a year before WE did

We live in a time where so much has happened in the past that is playing out today, it is almost impossible to connect dots except in generalization(s)

you know, you live in a retarded history time warp. Like Jihadist and liberals like Bernie Sanders, you want to return to 1700. Can’t happen dude. Sorry. In fact, it’s not even necessary by their own definition today.

Today, the founders would not put all the House and Senate in Washington either. They’d use technology.....the entire world has changed.....well, not the entire world. There’s you and Jihadists and Bernie...

We have taken the war against unions to the extreme

Horse puckey. Unless and until we remove the laws that give unions the advantage in every negotiation, and unless and until ALL public sector unions are dismantled (especially including teacher unions), then we aren't even close to being "extreme" against outdated and useless unions.

Unions have no place in our economy anymore. Lawyers and existing regulations do their job as it is.
