Why The Donald Can Go the Distance (America first)
The Daily Beast ^ | 09.11.151:00 AM ET | Mark McKinnon

Sorry, folks, Trump isn’t going to fade away anytime soon, and will likely still be a major force at the convention.

Donald Trump is keeping a lot of people up at night. And they are wrestling with scenarios about how and when he is going to fade or go away. The problem is they are leaning on history and conventional wisdom as their crutch. And Trump is turning out to be a crutch kicker.

Donald Trump is not going away any time soon. In fact, he may be here to stay. Here’s why.

Voters have become completely disillusioned with politics because they have been let down so many times.

They don’t believe a word any politician says anymore. And they don’t really care what the outcome of the elections are because they don’t think anyone will keep their word anyway. Voters are at the Network threshold: they’re mad as hell, and they’re not going to take it anymore.

So what better way to express their disgust with the system than to take a very large and sharp stick and poke it in the eye of the body politic. And that stick is Donald Trump.

If there is one thing Donald Trump amplifies and exemplifies more than anyone imaginable, it is utter contempt for the establishment status quo.

Donald is for building up our own country, once again.

America.

He's the only politician saying that.

During some quiet thought time last night, I considered the service Donald Trump is doing for our nation

I remembered back when Ronald Reagan took office ... by the mere fact that he was about to make a speech ... Iran released all the hostages

I considered further all the Trump rhetoric about Mexico and China and China's economy seems to be collapsing

I've concluded to pay speciel attention to every faction that is cited by D Trump because we may see simular reactions as we approach election day

I find it astonishing that you equate Trump's comments to China's problem. Quite the opposite. If what Trump was saying about China was correct, they'd be BOOMING not collapsing.

There's a recent lesson from history in that. As of 2012, Trump would include OPEC in every rant about China. It was OPEC and China back then. And Trump's rhetoric was the same - he would bully in there and negotiate them with his astounding skill - and all our problems would be gone. Never EVER a mention from Trump about American production being the key to making OPEC irrelevant. NOT A PEEP!!!!!

So where is OPEC now? Irrelevant. Did it have anything to do with Donald's negotiating prowess? NONE. In fact, he misdiagnosed the problem totally. Now he doesn't mention OPEC.

Same with China. We have within our borders all we need to not only compete with China, but to allow mutually beneficial commerce to take place. It's about our own liberalism, not China's currency or anything else. We can't do anything about it anyway, no more than we could OPEC - until our own domestic reality overwhelmed it.

Still prefer Cruz but have liked Trump since the git-go and like him more each day. Either of them would be a big plus and if they manage to really team up on the way intro the last 7-8 months of the campaign season, so much the better.

GO CRUZ!!! Keep it up Trump!!!

Donate to Cruz

I don’t care, even if what you are saying is correct.

Trump is saying America needs to be for America.

He is pro-American. Everyone else is on the globalist train.

I so welcome that.

You know, in your pimping for the Donald you may want to avoid nice articles from GOP establishment hacks writing for a socialist marxist publication.

Just saying....

China is booming.

Big time. The thing is American have no rights there. So now we have built up China to be an even bigger exporter than America is, they are growing (rapidly) yet we continue to buy Chinese stuff all across our country, selling out ever more American manufacturing.

We have taken the war against unions to the extreme, that we’re now backing the world’s largest communist country.

Bring back American production.

I’ve noticed that too, Knarf!!

Even the Daily Beast gets it!!....(seriously?)

With much prayer and contemplation/ soul searching (which continues)....
I thought at the beginning.....and still think....God may have thrown us a lifeline as we circled the drain
........and Trump as a lifeline is not what I would have imagined in a million years
......but God works in mysterious ways and throughout the Bible He used unusual, sometimes broken people to accomplish great things

He is pro-American. Everyone else is on the globalist train.

So if we get in a trade war with China - which would impact our relationship with all of Asia, I guess those American workers who build automobile engines for Honda cars sold in Asia would just be screwed. Same thing for the BMW's made in SC, which is the largest German auto making plant anywhere...IN SOUTH CAROLINA. I guess in your logic somehow those jobs are not American jobs.

Oh wait, those are both non union plants, and you're a union thug troll.

Wrong.

I have never been for any union.

Ever. What I am supporting is to bring back American jobs, and for someone in our government to protect them.

McKinnon guy is a Dem who switched sides...

He's a pansy and a squish who tries to run around promoting his "No Labels" political organization that even fellow Leftist pansies don't take seriously.

He's also often mistaken for Richard Simmons and thus has apparently decided to "Git Western":

I'm right there with you. Trump is an American nationalist and that's what America needs right now. We don't need another Washington insider type trading away our national sovereignty. We need a President that is willing to put the needs of America and Americans first.

And that all starts with a wall and a lot of deportations.

The Donald loves America and will put the U.S. first in all his dealings.
He will stop the flow of ILLEGALS and DEPORT the problems that are here.
If we can start there, stop the hemorrhaging, we can begin to rebuild.
It’s said that the Revolutionaries don’t survive the revolution. Their energy is in making the change.
Let’s make the changes necessary, while we still can.
America has a lot of rebuilding to do.
Senor Jebbe or The Donald? You decide.
