VIDEO: Apple iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus okay, but Apple Pencil and iPad Pro!?

SAN FRANCISCO — Fanboys across the world are gushing after Apple debuted its newest iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus at a press event at the Bill Graham Auditorium in downtown San Fran.

"What we have to show you today is really awesome," Tim Cook said. "While they may look familiar, we have changed everything about these new iPhones."

Unfortunately, the rest of the event probably had Steve Jobs spinning in his grave. Jobs actually came back to life halfway through to kick the living crap out of Cook for doing the things Apple said it would never do. Say hello to the $100 Apple Stylus, sorry "Pencil."

Apple has always pushed the envelope, but now it looks as if the envelope is pushing back. What do you do when you can't innovate? You imitate. Say hello to the Microsoft Surface Pro, sorry the enormous iPad Pro and its one-of-kind keyboard.

The Cupertino-based company also decided to release different colors for the Apple Watch no one wants along with a ridiculously overpriced Hermes edition. They also unveiled the new Apple TV for people who like using your TV for everything except watching TV.

The Apple Fanboys and Wall Street might have been impressed, for now, but isn't it time to tell emperor he forgot about his clothes?

It looks like the Taiwanese Animators are NOT Tim Cook fans.

I haven’t been a fan of Apple since Steve Jobs died. I hate these color choices, ugly!

Still no 32Gb version and no mini SD card slot.

So we either have to buy the 16Gb version that lacks sufficient storage or fall for Apple's scheme to have us purchase the 64Gb version? No thanks.

No Steve Jobs = Rehashing the same products to death with only China keeping your sales afloat.

I don’t think the $100 for the extra storage is that unreasonable.

Considering the cost of the phone and the plan for a couple of years, it seems minor.

If you can’t afford it, you probably can’t afford the phone in the first place.

This was about what I expected from an article where the first word was “Fanboys”. Apple Derangement Syndrome still lives.

Who do these peasants think they are anyway?

The iPad Pro + Pencil costs less than a dedicated Wacom tablet. This matters to people prone to buying Wacom tablets.

If you think the Pencil is stupid, you don’t have to buy one. Try talking to someone who actually has a need for an expressive stylus _before_ trashing that which you’re obviously not the intended market for.

[waves hand] Thanks Apple. I don't watch TV per se (to wit: ad-driven pre-scheduled limited-choice video streams), so yeah I'm happy about the ATV4.

[shrug] Quality has a price. Capability has a price. If you can’t afford it, it’s not guaranteed yours. Phones & tablets are available with the same basic functionality for any price you’re willing to pay; Apple focuses on the high end, and people are willing to pay that price for that quality & capability, and those unwilling or unable have plenty of other options.

I can easily afford it, I just don't like their tactics.

They offer a 16Gb phone, a 64 Gb phone and a 128 Gb phone.

Why no 32Gb?

When it came time to replace my Palm PDA, the only adequate substitute was an iPod Touch. I was NOT an Apple fan and I didn’t want to give Apple my money. I solved that problem by buying Apple stock. That stock is now up 73% from when I bought it and it nicely funds all my electronics - Apple, Android, and Microsoft!

I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet.
Youtube has many videos of people using the S-Pen that comes with it. I bet they wish they had that pencil as it looks as easy to use as a well a pencil.

The one that comes with the Note is S-Pen is clunky in comparison but people can draw and paint some amazing images. You can buy better ones.

Here is an apple being painted using Sketchbook Pro on the Samsung Galaxy Note https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nb32e4XN_1c
